"When it rains, it pours, especially when it is raining bad news. If Ripple investors didn’t believe that before, they certainly do now. Just yesterday, CCN reported that Ripple Labs co-founder Jed McCaleb decided to sell the entirety of his XRP stock, which decreased the XRP exchange value by an astounding 40% in less than 24 hours. Now, a board member has resigned, leaving investors anxious about the company’s future."

I'm quite impressed with what they've done there and also quite disillusioned that's it's not doing well in the marketplace.

They lack on design and marketing I guess. Look the website, why to spend time there. Would you visit it again as a player?

I agree with Agent86 it will attract way more players with a lower rake...  it is better to have 1000 players with a rake of 5% than 100 with 20%... at least start with a tiny welcome rake like 2% or free  for a couple of weeks so our clients get familiar or addicted...  and then increase the rake....  how about to increase the rake 1% every month until it reaches say 20%...and that must be not a secret so that every partcular month the players have the feeling that it has "value" to play now... after one year they don't care anymore since the prizes will be very high because of allready many participants....

Good news here :

I've reconsidered the issue following the feedback from the community and decided to honor the AGS holders with 10%. Thanks for the feedback on this issue and apologies for any divisiveness created.

Thank u. Bitshares looks similar to Nxt, I hope u don't mind if I borrow good ideas. :)

I borrow Stans quote :  ;)
"You and Dan will drive more awareness to each other than you will take away from each other.  It's the same reason competing car dealers and hardware stores tend to cluster on the same street.  Get the traffic to come to your neighborhood and then compete!"

FreeTrade gave only a week notice without any whitepaper. This is very different from any other DAC. In fact it will hurt FreeTrade and his MMC. Potential MMC buyers will miss the opportunity to get in.

maybe they will be the "lucky" ones...  hope it will not hurt our community ...further...

Stan responds by basically committing our marketing resources including "joint interviews and videos" for the price of 10% to AGS, to a project it seems like we know virtually nothing about.

your concerns make sense

It can be any charity (good and well known) from cancer research to the gates foundation, I am not to decide, and of course it should not be just one. That is a bigger debate to have if we decide to do so.

How would the charity will use it? to finance their projects, or keep it for future investment?

How do you address the fact that to benefit from a charitable donation the first thing a charity would have to do is sell the donation, putting pressure on share price?  While they could keep it as an investment, that's not what most charities do.

I was also thinking that myself, we could put a clause on the donation or release the donation over a period of time.

PS The charity would suport us for that time because they want the donation value to rise as possible !

Wouldn't lotto require random number generation? Is there a reader's digest version of who checked the technical details and incentive structure of that? I'm afraid I just decided it wasn't worth looking into. Can you convince me that it is?
Moreover, and to the point, will they use proof of work or dpos?

There has been significant progress and developments over the past several days.   One of the most significant is the introduction of a random number generation scheme and random delegate selection today.   This was done for two reasons: it resolves a security vulnerability discovered with sequential DPOS and it facilitates one of the more challenging parts of the Lotto DAC.

We have implemented UPNP networking.
