I think as a safe bet, just reserve your post and don't donate until you see his capability, great warning btw.

Does anybody else think moving the decimal mark is a major improvement justifying a fork? :)

No :), but getting everyone involved in bitcointalk is a great idea.

whilts changing the names might be more complicated. I agree that we need to have a very good explanation that assets are only specific to that chain. Different forks are going to appear that will track similar assets, so we need to ensure that people understand that BitShares XT only gives you BitShares on that chain and can only bet on assets on that chain.

A part from the bullshit about "a better world", I think is great as we need more advertisement for BitShares. Their focus is about marketing which is what we need. I assume we all are going to create our own DACs later on, which helps in the decentralization and deregulation.
But of course, the model and driver is BitShares.

Done, I guess you could have either missed a library or mpi.

I see, I think i will put the code of boot_install.sh in the instructions to avoid an outside dependency. Thanks again btw.

I understand your pain, hence as I put the ubuntu compilation guide even if I am a windows developer, as it is far much easier in linux ;).  You can quickly setup ubuntu in virtual box if you just want to play with the bits.  I also want to build a DAC but I am awaiting to have a simple template to get started, in the meantime I am exploring the code and getting a grasp of what I need to do :). At least now we can generate genesis.json to get started.

If you have donated ags, in the new version you can run "getagsbalance" in debug to get the number of ags you have.

I posted the tool to check your BTSx balance in the BitcoinTalk thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=485166.0

Please feel free to share that, repost anywhere else.

If you want you can also share the compilation instructions of BitShares and daily builds I am putting here, or wait for a proper release.

Am I able to check with my Keyhotee ID?

No, this just matches addresses in the genesis.json file.

If you dont have any PTS in PTS-Bitshares you can just copy your old wallet.dat and paste it into AppData\Roaming\BitShares-PTS. If you are not donating to AGS then is not really necessary, as there are no other new features that I know of.

I'd like to help out here too. It seems like the message is too complex (for many reasons) and needs to be filtered down to attract a wider audience. Toast, if you're interested, please reach out to collaborate.
(As a reference, here's an old FAQ article on Bitshares: http://btcgeek.com/bitshares-guide/)

That is a great article, extremely informative, gives different perspectives positions of investments, this is exactly what we need. Once people understand on how they can make money, then they will move to the next step, "How do acquire BitShares?", wallet setup, trading etc. Then when that is understood, they will get interested in other DACs, and how to invest on them. PTS / AGS.

Up until now the focus has been on PTS / AGS, I believe now should be BitShares and then PTS / AGS.

Thanks bytemaster.

I have created a website now, it will be very handy as new genesis are created for different DACs :)
