General Discussion / Bitshare / PTS
« on: March 03, 2014, 05:03:38 am »
Hello,

I have some PTS in my wallet and some PTS at the BTER exchange.
On 28. Feb. there was the snapshot, whiche led to a crash down.

Does someone know, where the payout of the Bitshare will be?
And how it will be executed technically?

Excuse for my english,

Sincerly

General Discussion / Confusing Bitshare / Pts
« on: February 20, 2014, 06:24:55 pm »
Hello,

I'm mining PTS since the middle of december 2013 and buy some PTS with BTC.
I keep the PTS in my wallet.

Yesterday the PTS had made a great jump. That is nice, but it could go down again:(
I' m aware of the "normal" risks, when investing in stocks or altcoins.
It is a continues up and down.

I' ve read a lot about the upcoming Bitshare on the 28 of February, but I realy don't understand all the correlations.

So I have a view questions:

1. Who says, that the 28.2 is the releaes date for Bitshare?
2. Do I have to change my PTS to Bitshare after this date, or is it automatic?
3. Is it possible, that the PTS become worthless? So it would be better to change them into another altcoin like LTC oder BTC?

It's all so confusing.

Can someone please explain the correlations or point me to link, where I can get these informations?

Sincerly,

Hurlie

BitShares PTS / Cloud Mining under Debian / DigitalOcean
« on: December 14, 2013, 03:31:37 pm »
Hello,

I'm a newbie from germany, using windows.
Excuse my english (Sometimes missed the school:)

It was a little bit tricky for me, to start the machine on DigitalOcean.
But finally I succeded:)
The machine is running now under Debian 7.

I have the following questions:

1.
I use the program "putty", to establish a connection to my machine.
This seems to be the "standard" program, to make a ssh connection?

Over this connection I can start the miner. Works pretty well.
But after a few hours (sometimes after a few minutes), the connection coincidentally breaks down
with a network error. I'he tried it at home and at the office.

I assume, that  this causes the miner to stop.
Because: When I establish a new connection and type "top" in the console,
no miner is running.

That's frustrating, for I pay for the time, I own the machine, and not for the time,
the miner is running.

My Question:

Is there a way, to keep the miner running, even, when there is no connection?

Thanks a lot for your help.

BitShares PTS / Mining with ptsminer
« on: December 13, 2013, 05:59:47 am »
Hello,

since 3 days I'm using ptsminer.
One on a windows machine at home and one at a Debian machine in the DigitalOcean cloud.
Both running with 4 cores and 4 threads

The output seems to be very minimal.
With both machines (and different payout-adresses) a haven't reach the minimal amount of 0.2pts for payout. (After these 3 days its about 0.1 pts each)
A have the following questions:

What does the output of ptsminer mean?

[MASTER] work received - sharetarget: 03ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffbeefde4d
[WORKER] collision found: 1277527 <-> 49057890 @ 44
[MASTER] submitted share -> SHARE
[STATS] 2013-Dec-13 06:50:03 | 4.1 c/m | 0.3 sh/m | VL: 3 (100.0%), RJ: 0 (0.0%)
, ST: 0 (0.0%)

1.
I thing the [STATS] explain the speed, but what is the exact meaning of the values?

2.
If the [MASTER] says: SHARE.
Shouldn't I see all these these values in beeeer.org?
In beeeer.org there are only 15 added blocks after 3 days. That seems to be to less.

3.
Is it a good choice, to use ptsminer, or are there better miners?

Can you pleas help me?

Sincerly yours,

Hurlie
