MemoryCoin / Re: Solo mining MMC using multiple yam workers
« on: April 08, 2014, 02:04:16 pm »
Hello,

I have another idea:

Is it possible, that I'm to impatient?

I see in the yam-log, that there is no share found (only solutions).
How long does it last, to find a share at your machine?

Sincerly,

Hurlie

Hello,

I tried two things:

1.
mine = getwork://memorycoinrpc:changepassword@192.168.1.2:1925/mmc
With this string I get a connection to the server. (but no shares)

2.
mine = getwork://MRFXczHjyv4id7iTz8NLsJRy8tXPRLg2pQ@192.168.1.108:1925/mmc
With this string I get an error message, that the server shall support HTTP/1.1
So this seems to be wrong.

Sincerly,

Hurlie

Hello kanes,

No, that's not right.

The "O" comes from the memorycoin.conf.
rpcpassword=(O)EK63YMOLFFXI7JZE284J3AFGYVHAX5U9R6LN4F2

That's obvious for me too.

When mining at 1Gh, the Url is:
mine = getwork://"WalletAdresse"@mmcpool.1gh.com:8080:8081:8082:8083/mmc

So there seems to be a difference between mining at 1Gh or solo.

Sincerly,

Hurlie

He toonces,

just today I saw this topic and tried it out. That's a mavellous idea!!

I try it on one of my windows machines, on which the yam miner and the wallet are already installed.
From this machine I mine without problems at 1Gh or Dwarf.
The version of the MemoryCoin wallet is 0.8.583.0

I have a HPM of about 15. That is not much, but this HPM is shown at 1Gz.

It's a pity: Mining directly to the wallet doesn't work.

I try to explain my problem:

The miner gets the work from the wallet and begins to works.
It found a share and wants to send it to the wallet. Up to this, everything looks ok.

The message: "Found Solution" apears in the same way, as if I mine on 1Gh.
But the numbers of Shares Submitted and Accepted always keep at "0".
So I think, there must be a mistake in my configuration, but I can't figure out, what it is.

Perhaps someone can help me?

General Discussion / Bitshare / PTS
« on: March 03, 2014, 05:03:38 am »
Hello,

I have some PTS in my wallet and some PTS at the BTER exchange.
On 28. Feb. there was the snapshot, whiche led to a crash down.

Does someone know, where the payout of the Bitshare will be?
And how it will be executed technically?

Excuse for my english,

Sincerly

General Discussion / Re: Confusing Bitshare / Pts
« on: February 20, 2014, 06:59:23 pm »
Thanks for your answer,

 but it seems to be too complicated for me:
(Perhaps it is only a lingual problem. My knowledge of the english language is minimal)

1.) What is the meaning of "snapshot is taken which determins how BTS is allocated".
Could you please explain it to me in simple english?
- What snapshot?
- How can a snapshot dermine?

2.) 3.) If they drop, it could be neccessary to sell them.
Will the exchanges, like BTER, excepts PTS after the 28.2?
Or have I to wait with the selling, until the "tool to claim BTS" is provided?
That could take some time and the PTS (Bitshare) crashes to ground,
while I can't trade them.

In this case, it would be better, to change them before the 28.2. and
then buy some, when the storm is over.
On the other hand, it could be possible, that the rise:)

Why do you think, that they "can drop"?

Sincerly,

Hurlie

General Discussion / Confusing Bitshare / Pts
« on: February 20, 2014, 06:24:55 pm »
Hello,

I'm mining PTS since the middle of december 2013 and buy some PTS with BTC.
I keep the PTS in my wallet.

Yesterday the PTS had made a great jump. That is nice, but it could go down again:(
I' m aware of the "normal" risks, when investing in stocks or altcoins.
It is a continues up and down.

I' ve read a lot about the upcoming Bitshare on the 28 of February, but I realy don't understand all the correlations.

So I have a view questions:

1. Who says, that the 28.2 is the releaes date for Bitshare?
2. Do I have to change my PTS to Bitshare after this date, or is it automatic?
3. Is it possible, that the PTS become worthless? So it would be better to change them into another altcoin like LTC oder BTC?

It's all so confusing.

Can someone please explain the correlations or point me to link, where I can get these informations?

Sincerly,

Hurlie

BitShares PTS / CPM with cudaPTSwin
« on: January 17, 2014, 11:10:04 am »
Hello,

nice work:)

The miner work excellent.

Beside this, I have 2 questions regarding the CPM.

My machine:

Processor: AMD FX8350
RAM: 16 GB
Graphics: 2* GTX 650

1. Question:
I reach a CPM rate of 300 to 350.
Compared with your benchmark, this seems to be not so much.

2. Question:
I called the miner with:
cudaPTSwin.exe "adr" 1-
The "1" means, both GTX 650 should work.

In the response of the program, every found collision is generated bei GPU "0".

<<[WORKER] collision found: 17070511 <-> 59251628 #162 @ 1389956781 by 0
<<[WORKER] collision found: 59251628 <-> 17070511 #162 @ 1389956781 by 0
<<[WORKER] collision found: 15759157 <-> 64019081 #164 @ 1389956781 by 0

The second GPU seems to be ununsed.

Is this correct?
Or where can I see, how much GPUs are working?

Or, when both GPUs are working, a CPM of 300-350 seems to be really slow.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerly yours,

Hurlie

BitShares PTS / Re: Cloud Mining under Debian / DigitalOcean
« on: December 15, 2013, 12:02:36 pm »
Hello ro5,

Tnx again.

I'm now using tmux. Works good for me:)

Yet another question:
 I'm running a droplet with 8GB / 4 CPUs.

The miner is downloaded with: git clone https://github.com/thbaumbach/ptsminer

I'm running the miner with 4 threads and got about 45-50 c/m.
Is this a good value?

Makes it sense, to encrease the number of threads?

What is your speed?

At home I'm running now an Intel I7-3770T at 2.5 GHz.
Here the speed is 110 c/m with 8 threads.
Thats more than the double speed.

Have a nice sunday,

Hurlie

BitShares PTS / Re: Cloud Mining under Debian / DigitalOcean
« on: December 14, 2013, 04:57:04 pm »
Hello r05,

Thanks, that helps a lot.

Another question from a Debian newbie.

When calling the miner, I change to the scr-directory by: cd ~/ptsminer/src
Then I start the miner by ./ptsminer <...> 4

What does the "./" stand for.
Under Windows it is the current directory.
So under windows also :ptsminer <...> 4 will work.

But under Debian I got the message "command not found".

If I type "ls -lh" , there is, beside the sourcefiles, a file called  "-rwxr-xr-x ... ptsminer", without extensions.

But where is the executable?

Sincerly

BitShares PTS / Cloud Mining under Debian / DigitalOcean
« on: December 14, 2013, 03:31:37 pm »
Hello,

I'm a newbie from germany, using windows.
Excuse my english (Sometimes missed the school:)

It was a little bit tricky for me, to start the machine on DigitalOcean.
But finally I succeded:)
The machine is running now under Debian 7.

I have the following questions:

1.
I use the program "putty", to establish a connection to my machine.
This seems to be the "standard" program, to make a ssh connection?

Over this connection I can start the miner. Works pretty well.
But after a few hours (sometimes after a few minutes), the connection coincidentally breaks down
with a network error. I'he tried it at home and at the office.

I assume, that  this causes the miner to stop.
Because: When I establish a new connection and type "top" in the console,
no miner is running.

That's frustrating, for I pay for the time, I own the machine, and not for the time,
the miner is running.

My Question:

Is there a way, to keep the miner running, even, when there is no connection?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello R05,

Thanks for yout time and the detailed explanation.
You have given yout PTS-Address and I would like to thank you by a donation.
I'm new in the forum (what do you think, which amount is appropriate?)

No I understand the output of ptsminer much better.
But some things remain unexplainable.

This morging (at 8 pm) a have started ptsminer on a quicker machine with the following output:
( Here only a copy of the newest 4 [STATS] lines. I got a nearly equivalent output since (8 pm).
It must be over 100 lines).

[STATS] 2013-Dec-13 12:13:30 | 63.7 c/m | 1.0 sh/m | VL: 1082 (94.7%), RJ: 61 (5.3%), ST: 0 (0.0%)
[STATS] 2013-Dec-13 12:17:08 | 63.8 c/m | 1.0 sh/m | VL: 1083 (94.7%), RJ: 61 (5.3%), ST: 0 (0.0%)
[STATS] 2013-Dec-13 12:17:20 | 63.8 c/m | 1.0 sh/m | VL: 1084 (94.7%), RJ: 61 (5.3%), ST: 0 (0.0%)
[STATS] 2013-Dec-13 12:17:43 | 63.9 c/m | 1.0 sh/m | VL: 1085 (94.7%), RJ: 61 (5.3%), ST: 0 (0.0%)

The c/m seems to be ok for this machine (you get 40 c/m on DigitalOcean). VL is near to 100 and RJ is near to zero.
How you wrote, that these are a nearly good values.

One question: What is the meaning of ST?
(0.0 seems to be less.)

And another question:

Take a look at beeeer.org:

The most recent lines are:

32561 2013-12-13 12:07:59 66 / 94753 -> 0.01510 PTS / 21.68 PTS -> block waiting for confirmations
32557 2013-12-13 11:47:33 281 / 539513 -> 0.01129 PTS / 21.68 PTS -> block waiting for confirmations
32528 2013-12-13 10:01:22 287 / 466340 -> 0.01334 PTS / 21.68 PTS -> block waiting for confirmations
32508 2013-12-13 08:29:59 1111 / 2326746 -> 0.01035 PTS / 21.68 PTS -> block waiting for confirmations

There are only 4 lines in these 4 hours, so for only these lines a got income (when the blocks later are marked as added).

What has happened to all the other "shares" listet in the output of ptsminer.
There are more than 100 in these 4 hours.

Don't they reach beeeeer.org?
Or is the share to small to be added in the pool?

It`s a little bit frustrating.

Another thank for your help
(Dont forget to tell me the amount of the donation)
