Technical Support / Forgot password
« on: May 25, 2017, 03:20:21 pm »
I can't remember the password to my wallet. I have the private key and the json file. I see a lot of people saying something about a .bin file. I recall making one when migrating from Bitsion 1.0 to 2.0. I hope there is a way to recover my wallet. If not, just say so and I'll let it go. I'm willing to pay BTS for assistance. I first got started in BTS 5 years ago.

Technical Support / More Mainstream media of blockchain technology
« on: November 11, 2015, 02:59:24 pm »
I don't like mainstream media but I stumbled upon CNBC giving more coverage of banks using blockchain technology. What does this mean once blockchain technology increases in demand? Is this good news for Bitshares?

General Discussion / Help with marketing

I'm a gamer and I'm trying to tie in Bitshares with gaming. Please critique my understanding of Bitshares that way I am not pushing out false info.

If we can make assests like BitUSD etc then could the same be done for a particular video game? Or would an entirely new altcoin (built upon bitshares) be needed to created?

My idea about the future of video games is, if online gaming today was a feat to achieve for game developers in the past. I thought game currencies would be the next frontier.  That is where Bitshares comes in. So players collecting coins in a mario game or rings in a sonic game. A cryptocurrency for that game could be exchange by some reserve gaming currency let's says Bitshares.

Then Bitshares can be exchanged into a currency into another video game.

So the flowchart is:

Bitrings (currency from a sonic game and a name I just came up with) get's exchanged for Bitshares.

Bitshares is then traded for Gold in World of Warcraft.

Is this possible with Bitshares? For I am not sure if it is.

I figure using video games would be a great way to relate to millennials since they would definitely need to be or already are hip to crytocurrencies in a way. Not to mention most online video games already use some sort of currency. I thought Bitshares would thrive in a space like this.

Technical Support / Looking for new place to exchange BTC for BTS
« on: November 09, 2015, 06:04:23 pm »
I used to use shapeshift.io to get BTS but I see they stop doing that exchange a while ago. Are there any recommendations for a newbie like me to get BTS?

Was there anyone attempting to build a video game that incorporated bitshares as the currency of the game? If so please provide links. I would like to check them out. Thank you in advance.

Technical Support / Understanding BitUSD
« on: October 05, 2015, 11:23:56 am »
I am trying to understand how BitUSD works or any of the...I think they are called BitAssets???  Anyways, I'll use a real world example.

So when the Chinese Yuan get's devalued against all the other global currencies. Does that make the BitCYN fall in value as well? And does the same apply if the USD falls in value, BitUSD falls in value?

And I do want to thank the community here in advance. For I had a lot of questions but they were answered while reading through the many posts.
