« on: May 25, 2017, 02:46:21 am »
What's the deal with Muse/ Peertracks?

I haven't seen Cob active anywhere so just curious if the project is ever launching or if it's DOA.

« on: August 09, 2015, 05:09:48 pm »
I'm following the steps found here:

When I get to step #7 for cloning the github repository, I get a the following message:
Code: [Select]
Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

I have experience with front end development so I wanted to jump in to see how I could help. Thanks

General Discussion / Anyone else keeping an eye on VOAT.CO?

The web traffic is impressive:

If it becomes a viable alternative to Reddit, there could be some business opportunities for BitShares such as integrating tipping with bitUSD early in the game and taking advantage of a first-mover network effect.  Thoughts?

I've been thinking about buying Euros.  How are ya'll trading these downward market moves?

Why not display each delegate's top Wall post (by #burned) inside the client? It would add a new dynamic to the voting mechanism while also serving multiple purposes like voting on issues, expressing support (or lack of) for topics or performance, etc.

Why can't we make "money drops" a literal concept?
A delegate (or individual for UIAs) could literally "drop" bitUSD, bitEUR, bitCNY in the streets of major cities.  A geocaching-style GPS-driven augmented reality-type game could be made so if a mobile app is within proximity of "dropped" bitUSD then it would be picked up automatically.  There would literally be money in the streets.  I mean.. why wouldn't someone want to play?

It seems totally do-able, fun, and highly marketable.  In fact, it could even be marketed as an alternative to coupons for business owners since they could drop redeemable UIAs at the doors of their establishments.  To elaborate even further, a DAC like Peertracks could utilize it for dropping ArtistCoins at a venue on a particular night.

IMO crypto is lacking interaction with the physical world.. it doesn't feel real to people.. so why not turn that weakness into a strength?  There could literally be gold lined streets funded by a faucet and all it would require for people is a download.

Technical Support / FIXED: v0.6.1 -- Blocks stuck syncing
« on: February 11, 2015, 11:23:07 pm »
Everything was syncing smoothly with 0.6.1 until it got to block #1083620 and now it's not syncing anymore.  I have between 8-15 network connections and have restarted a couple times.  It's similar to my issue with 0.5.3 I mentioned here:

Any idea what I can do?   :-[

Technical Support / OSX help needed for downloading blockchain
« on: January 30, 2015, 02:05:26 am »
I'm having a problem building with OSX and currently stuck on block 566049.  How can I force a rescan or re-index?  Should I delete old files that may be causing it to download slowly and if so where are they located?
