Those instructions don't tell you how to export your private keys from the Bitcoin core wallet.  I have the private keys but how to get them into the Muse wallet?  It remains a mystery.

Are you talking about muse you received from AGS donations?

No I'm talking about the Bitcoin pre-sale.  Did I not mention that?

What you can also try is get a list of all your private keys in you bitcoin wallet and put them in wif fornat in a new file .. one line per key ... use that file in the import keys tool

where i can find wif format file "standard"?
or better, how could be the file?
can you give us an example?
thankyou!

WTF is a wif file?

I'll ask a stupid question:  This page makes no sense to me.      http://docs.bitshares.eu/muse/migration/howto-importing-wallet.html#importing-your-balance

How do I redeem my Muse that I bought in the pre-sale from a Bitcoin core wallet?  i have spent hours and hours trying to figure this out and I am about to give up.

I invested in this project from the crowdfund but as of yet have not been able to get any coins that I paid for.  Supposedly, in December I should have been able to claim my coins by importing my private BTC keys into my muse wallet, which to be honest seems like a really bad idea for the security of my BTC wallet, but that is another topic.  The point I would like to make now is that the instructions in December were incomplete and left non-techies like myself unable to claim our coins.

Now I would like to know has any progress been made and can I get my coins yet?   It seems like MUSE is trading and I feel like I should be able to claim my coins and sell them since according to Coin Market Cap MUSE has a Market cap of $1,061,281, right up there with Prime Coin and Bitcoin Dark.  Are there specific instructions yet on how to claim the coins that I paid for? Or should I continue to wait patiently?
Do you have this wallet ?

Yes BTC is a shorthand way of typing Bitcoin.  I guess I assumed that anyone reading a forum on crypto-currencies  would get that.   I did download the new and improved wallet and installed it and then nothing happened.

Section B
For those that never claimed their Notes and decided to wait until the real blockchain came out, here is what you will need to do on or after Oct 26th:
Open up the Bitcoin Wallet you sent your bitcoins from during the Note Pre-Sale
Find the Export Wallet or Export Keys option. This can be different from one wallet provider/client to another
Save your Bitcoin wallet file somewhere safe on your computer or external drive. Don’t loose it!
You will have to import your Bitcoin Private Keys (the wallet file) into the MUSE wallet to prove to the MUSE Blockchain that you are indeed the person that sent those BTC during the Note Pre-Sale. This step will have a nice clear walkthrough when the time comes.

Where is the clear walkthrough?  Or am I supposed to comb these forums to claim my coins?

The only way to get access to your money is with the private keys. If you've lost the wallet there's nothing you can do, unless your money was on the blockchain as a brainwallet and you still remember the password.

That was what I was asking,  if it is registered then is it considered a brain wallet?

I don't have the private key.  I have my password but I guess that is not the same thing.  I guess I will have to track down that computer.  I was saying my user (the little robot man) was registered.  So I didn't know if I could still gain access to that account with the password.  It sounds like not.

General Discussion / Is it possible claim a user if I lost my backup

Sorry for the newbie question, but I bought a new computer today and traded my old computer, but I forgot back up my PTS wallet onto my external hard drive so I don't have the backup.   My PTS account is registered on the blockchain so is it possible to import that account into my new wallet without the backup and if so how do I do that?  Thanks.  Otherwise I have to hunt down that old computer and it might be destroyed already.

Ok then I won't worry too much about it until they get it figured out.  I was just thrown off by the wallet which I'm unfamiliar with.

Are you using the latest wallet?

I downloaded the wallet after the snapshot so one would think that it was the new wallet. The version I downloaded was PTS v2.0.1 -0.0.9-x86.  I did have one small test transaction of 50 PTS go through so my wallet balance is now 25 pts, not quite enough to register my name.  Now it seems that about 72,000 PTS have vanished. Nothing from Poloniex in two days.

Your wallet is good.  You need to check with poloniex on your transaction.  The destination address for Poloniex outgoing transaction may have to be a registered Account Name and not a public address (as what you did).  If your transactions are stuck somewhere in poloniex because of this, their support staff can cancel those transactions and you can resubmit the withdrawal.  The most effective way to get support from poloniex is to raise a support ticket with their helpdesk system.
I would like to register my name but to register an account name costs PTS which if you can't withdraw from the exchange you can't have in your wallet. The first thing I did was open a support ticket.

Yes, of course. They are working on it.

Just wondering if this is normal for this coin or why the transaction is no where to be found in the block explorer.  Maybe I'm doing something wrong.  I was hoping the community would have some insight.  Maybe it's just poloniex adjusting to the new coin.
