General Discussion / Re: Best Exchange Website
« on: November 07, 2015, 10:17:40 pm »
We will be migrating BitShares GUI to copy as closely as possible the best interface out there.   We will also be copying the best fee system and best market rules.

The worker proposal that Cryptonomics are writing should be very specific regarding will be delivered. Personally, i would like to the see some discussion and a poll or two to determine the specifics. The reason being, the best GUI is very subjective and so we know whichever we choose some will love it others will hate it. However, a consensus can be achieved with some discussion and some votes.

The other point is that I want it to be specific about what you will deliver. We hear this perception that the GUIis not user friendly (similar thing with 1.0).  Its been less than a month since 2.0 and so i feel we have to get this right- in terms of design, in terms of quality of build etc.

In short, i think its the right thing to do but we have to get it working 100%, not close to. We have a kick-ass backend and i really want us to get the same for the front end. If that means bringing in some outside help, so be it. It doesn't matter. The important thing is it works on a PC,MAC, iphone, IPAD etc with all the features people are asking for.

My 2 bts.

Just wondering if you can purchase shares in cryptonomics? I suspect not.

General Discussion / BM interview with Arthur Falls
« on: November 01, 2015, 12:59:36 am »

One of the best interview i heard was when bytemaster was interviewed by arthur falls. I think it would be good to try and setup another interview to talk about 2.0 and the new opportunities that exist. I thought bytemaster came off really well.

General Discussion / Bitshares for Savers
« on: October 26, 2015, 01:43:32 am »

I was wondering when people think that BitShares will be stable enough to be used for saving. I know that it can be used whether the market cap is in the millions or billions, but i was wondering what peoples perspective is.

Also, bitshares gives me the ability to save in gold or silver, but is there a way to earn interest? I guess the bond market will allow us to lease our capital to others for interest when that comes online.

Technical Support / Re: Deposit/Withdraw
« on: October 21, 2015, 12:33:15 pm »

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is going to be a fiat on-ramp, perhaps via CCEDK?
I thought i remember hearing BM talk about that before.

In my browser i dont see anything under CCEDK as yet.

Thx

first gate way added is the crypto btc,ltc and doge expected yesterday oct. 20th so coming pretty soon:

ol.btc
ol.ltc
ol.doge

any further currencies added once volume is picking up on those three, or based on other indication of demand

fiat is then the next to be added under CCEDK deposit and withdraw as @xeroc mentioned already, and is expected ometime next week. untill then pls feel free to do your fiat deposits and withdrawals on CCEDK, it is simple and BitShares 2.0 is fully intregrated on CCEDK, so there is an easy access to Openledger whichever way once decides to work it untill then.

This is really great news  +5%
Thank you for taking the time to reply.

General Discussion / Re: Now it a good time to buy some bitCNY
« on: October 21, 2015, 03:00:53 am »
I disagree, now is the time to hold BTS.

But different opinions is what makes a market. ;)

BTS has more upside.
But i do agree that the current 6:1 cyn to usd will eventually reach parity, just as it did for the swiss franc. Now a usd doesnt even buy a swiss franc.

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: BTS and MUSE
« on: October 19, 2015, 05:35:34 pm »
they are independent of each other.  BTS is its own blockchain. MUSE (formely known as NOTES) is it's own blockchain.   If you wanted to invest in MUSE you would need to buy MUSE when it starts trading again after its launched.

Graphene is the codebase that both blockchains are based on.

Thanks Jaran. I think i will have to get some of these.
You would think that if both platforms use graphene and MUSE takes off, it would surely give some credibility to BTS.

Go to the  "permissions" tab and click on the key picture, then you can click on "show" to see the private key.
(found it randomly)

Thank you
