MemoryCoin / Re: [ANN] MMC.1GH.COM - GPU mining, CPU mining ★
« on: February 20, 2014, 08:46:22 am »
is 1gh is down?

Error 522 Ray ID: ff8c3966d5f0673
Connection timed out

What happened?
The initial connection between CloudFlare's network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.
It was under heavy DDoS, now recovered.
Thanks! Working now!

Is it just short term luck or something else that has caused this 48 hour dip in blocks found
Just luck, and high variance at hashrate that low.
Yeap, pool is rise  8)

3
8 hours + since we've found a block. Is this unusual? Have we lost miners to another pool?
Pool need more CPU and GPU power!  :D

Hi abc123!
Does your miner support pts.1gh.com? they added xpt protocol.
Not supported now, it will prompt: "Invalid share, Reason: unknown-work" after a short run at pts.1gh.com.
Any news?

For GPU I recommend use http://pts.1gh.com/
No mercy, no problem  8)

Sorry about my bad english too )))

Guys,

Pool miner is now updated to version 1.4, please download it from the pts.1gh.com page.
  • It now uses stratum mining protocol, stale shares are almost zero
  • It is now possible to override workgroup size detection, please try setting it to 64-128-256 if you had 'Invalid group size' error
  • Hashrate is slightly improved

The pool now supports XPT protocol, for CPU mining you can now use yam! Connection string for yam is:
Code: [Select]
xpt2h://YOUR-PTS-ADDRESS:x@pts.1gh.com:18120:18121:18122:18123/pts
Could you please add info about version in your gpu miner?!
Thank you for suggestion, will do that tomorrow.
Thanks!
Pool need more power!  8)

ANy updates to the miner, the GPU one?
Not yet, next update will happen in several days. It will not affect you CPM, but will reduce your stale shares percent to almost zero.
Any news?  :D and Thanks for pool!

I wonder if the other pools have the same vulnerability.
No, they are not vulnerable.

MemoryCoin / Re: Mining, will this power supply run all these 280X cards?
« on: January 21, 2014, 09:04:48 pm »
Hello.
I think - yes.

Sometime ago I used 2x6990 with one 1200 watt chieftec.

Without overlock r9 280x uses maximum about 220-250 watt
No, no, no. 220..250W may be for MMC, but not for LTC (scrypt)!
I have wattmeter (china). I measure scrypt mining - 300..320W for R9 280X ASUS!

MemoryCoin / Re: [Poll] Electricity Consumption
« on: January 21, 2014, 09:02:18 pm »
Over in the hardware comparison thread, we have not really collected any power consumption data:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1803.0

I'd like to revive that by guessing how many windmills the network is using per block.

I'll collect my own power consumption data, compare to network stats, and calculate the overall power consumption for MMC in terms of 100 kW windmills.

The more data I have, the more accurate I can get.  If you have access to a kill-a-watt or similar, please let me know your stats.

It may take me a few days, so in the meantime, you can submit your guess above.

If you submit your own data, please include your hardware data and hash rate like in the cpu/gpu thread, along with any custom clock settings, and watts at the outlet while both idle and mining.

E.g.:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz: 4.936 hash/min
Idle Power: X Watts
Mining Power: Y Watts

Radeon 7990 undervolted to 1050 mv 21h/m
Idle Power: X Watts
Mining Power: Y Watts
I have wattmeter (made in china).
After 2..3 day I measure electricity consumption R9 280X (asus or powercolor) in single mode (1gb ram, 1 core celeron, MB Intel G31, 500W Zalman).
Please wait  :D

BitShares PTS / Re: OpenCL GPU miner by girino for ypool.net
« on: January 20, 2014, 02:54:36 pm »
I had no intention of releasing my miner for ypool in the begining (the 70% harming the network, etc, etc), but since too many people asked, i am now releasing it. As always, the code is Open sourced and free. As I used jh00 jhProtominer as a base, and the minar and the pool support donation fees, i included a 2.5% developer fee in the code, that will only apply for those mining on ypool.net. If you mine on any other pool, please remember to donate.

Code is available at: https://github.com/girino/jhProtominer

A linux 64bit compiled binary is available at: https://mega.co.nz/#F!oVBUmDjR!atcpQhUQ7C123F-XFiub0w

Hope you enjoy!
2.5% developer fee + 5% pool fee = 7,5% ?  :o

Yup. I have no intention of driving more people to ypool. But you can still use it on other pools with no fee. Call it an incentive...
Thanks for answer.
Miner dosn't support http://pts.1gh.com ?
Why would you need that? Ours is generally faster :)
Yeap!
Your miner is much faster! Thx!
