when the total amount/number of red packets are large, the combinatoric algorithm has a problem. The last one seems to be always the biggest.

I don't think I am a leader of Chinese community. But I think many people like me because I helped them to study blockchain, DAC and bitshares. And of course some people hate me because the price of BTS or PLS.
Now in Chinese community there are many many FUD about BTS , PLAY and FUD for personal.
Believe me it is a hard work.

Announcement feature (base on public note API)
Bitcoin has this feature to and requires that the message is signed by at least one of three or four people among which are satoshi, theymos and a code dev IIRC.

What's required for PLAY?

On the overview page, "Announcement" is the public notes of an account that specified by the GUI wallet developer.
So this feature is not on the blockchain layer, It is on the GUI wallet layer.
In the future, game creators can publish an announcement in their game too. All of these use same API(public note), GUI wallet developer decide different ways of presentation.

@logxing Can you provide ubuntu (linux) binaries for delegates? Everytime I have to build the binary on my poor VPS machine...

I've tried to read up on lucky money from wechat.  I can't find a good English language explanation.  Can anyone explain what this lucky money is to someone without a knowledge of Chinese culture.

I also don't quite get what you mean by point 4.  Rp value property?  Red packet?  Value paid to delegates?  It's that a measurement of fees paid by an account?

2,red packet api. red packet feature like "lucky money" in wechat. You can put some PLS in a packet, only the people who know the password can claim the pls. UI of red packet feature will release in the next version.
3,web Update for chat box, account pattern and time added
4,RP value propertyadded, basically rp menas how much pls your account paid to delegate, but not all OP, now you can get RP from note and chat operation. RP can be used in many places, like red packet claim condition, as judgement of the account validity.

how do I apply for an ad I want to display on my website?

If you have a website, then you are the owner.
You'll tell people your AD policy, like price, position, size etc.
And then watch PLAY blockchain (API blockchain_get_account_ads <account_name> [limit]), or use a blockchain explorer service, pick up the  valid AD and show them on your website.
For owner the operation of "show AD" are automatic.

For publisher, they can buy your AD position in PLAY client.

Maybe the advantage is not clear for traditional website, but we hope this AD system will be widely used in PLAY client on gamedev account page and game page.

Who decides the price?
What happens with those PLS?
Is it centralized?

wallet_buy_ad <amount_to_pay> <asset_symbol> <publisher_account_name> <owner_account_name> [public_message]

It means publisher buy a AD position that provided by owner.
Any account can be publisher or owner.

Owner promise show the info at somewhere, like owner's website or software.

So owner decide the price. The PLS goto delegate at price 1PLS/400byte, the rest part belongs to the owner.
If the rest part is less than the price that provided by the owner, owner will not show the AD at his website(Common sense).
Blockchain don't care the price that provided by the owner, all of the Txs paid 1PLS/400byte are legal Tx.

AD and chat feature can be used on the page of gamedev or game in the future. Gamedev decide the price and the way of presentation.

By the way, chat feature use exactly the same API with AD feature.

AD system online! Totally base on blockchain. You can appear on the PLAY client in 10s.

AD and chat feature will also be used in the page of gamedev/game in the future.

run "info" command, if "blockchain_average_delegate_participation" is very low(less than 30%), maybe you are on fork chain and cannot back to main chain automatically.
In this case, you can delete "chain" folder and start from Initial state. :(
