MemoryCoin / MemoryCoin 2.0 - General Informations
« on: December 17, 2013, 02:27:01 pm »
This is basically a Copypasta from

MemoryCoin 2.0

Launch
MemoryCoin 2.0 is now live and full block rewards apply to mined blocks.

Windows Binary (Wallet/Miner)

Proof of Work
The Proof of Work is a modified Momentum based algorithm. It has a small SHA512 component, and a large AES component - chips with AES-NI instruction sets will fare *much* better. Each hash requires 1GB of Memory to perform and encrypts 50GB of data. By contrast, the verification only requires 128K and less than one 10th of a second.

Mining
The miner included with MemoryCoin-qt will take advantage of AES-NI instruction sets.
Note - you might need to enable AES-NI in your BIOS - some manufacturers ship with it disabled.
Mining rate will be proportional to your CPU's AES encryption ability - here's a good chart -

Parameters
POW Hash: Momentum (64K XOR AES-CBC x 50) with SHA512 Generation
Block target: 6 minutes
Port: 1968
Codebase: ProtoShares 0.8.6 (Bitcoin 0.8.5)
Block reward: 280 MMC, 5% reduction every 1680 blocks
Total Coins: 10 Million coins in the first 2 years, 2% inflation thereafter
Difficulty Retargeting: Every block, based on the previous 20 blocks

Premine
There is a total premine of ~7.3% distributed over a wide range of addresses, comprised of two parts,
~6.2% - MemoryCoin Beta
All balances from the original MemoryCoin as at block 8820 are transferred into the new blockchain at Block 1. MemoryCoin 2.0 has 10 million coins so there is a significant dilution. This dilution does not apply to MCF supporters. You can import your balance by using your old wallet with the new blockchain.

~1.12% - ProtoShares Holders
ProtoShares owners as at Block 32000 will receive a distribution at a rate of 1 MMC for each 10PTS. With around 1 Million PTS issued, there will be 100,000MMC distributed in this way, and PTS owners will cumulatively have a 1% stake in MemoryCoin at launch.  You can import your balance by using your ProtoShares wallet with MemoryCoin. It is recommend that you transfer your balance to a fresh MemoryCoin wallet after import.

MemoryCoin / [CSO] Vote for me as CSO and future plans !
« on: December 16, 2013, 08:12:46 pm »
First of all: THANK YOU guys ! I'm happy to be the CSO at this moment ! I know that with that power there is also a big responsibility. As the CSO I need to make sure everybody has a good start and gets help. Of course I can't be everywhere, but we will find a way to master this !
An WOW ! Look at this ! I'm the Moderator for the MemoryCoins section. This means I'm more involved and can support the community even more ! Thank you guys !

But now let me show you who I am. I think everybody should see the man behind the MMC-Address he's voting for.

Now that's me:

I'm just a regular 21 years old guy like you ! I work as a Information Technology Officer and have a well knowledge in computers and the all mighty internet ;)

But what will a guy like me do ?

Well, easy: I plan to help where I can ! I opened up a IRC-Room for you to discuss and get help. But sure in time I can't manage all the questions and problems on my own, so I plan to set up a "Task Force" who gets Coins for supporting me.

What I will do:
- I will expand my webpage http://mmc.montaxx.me so far that you will always have the best informations.
- Once exchanges are available you will be able to see shiny stats like on my PTS page http://pts.montaxx.me
- I will try to have close contact to the developers to get the best news and tell you guys about what is happening
- A ticket system will come to help resolving problems
- Monthly giveaways and lotterys to give you something back !
- and many many more

What I did so far:
- Managed to get a own Subforum for MemoryCoin
- Created a website with statistics and informations
- Opened the IRC-Channel for us (http://memorycoin.montaxx.me/chat.php)

If you like my service and how I helped so far and will help the community, why don't you just vote for me ?

It's very easy and costs nearly nothing. Just send 0.00000001 MMC to MVTEcsoCi2QBXFTsRARm81nXSkaqeAt5wT and your vote is counted !

Hey guys, I just made myself a little Website to calculate the actual price and see some stats.
I thought I could share it with you.
Please keep in mind, that I'm not a professional webdesigner and did this in rush.
If you like it or want some changes, give me a little feedback here !

BitShares PTS / Installation Script for beeeeers Pool on Debian 7
« on: November 21, 2013, 09:55:03 am »
Hi guys, I thought I should share you my installation-script I use to set up my Debian 7 boxes.
This Scripts will install all dependency's, build the miner, and create it start script.
The start script is to start the miner. It detects the amount of CPUs and sets the threads to that number.

Please mind that this is for Debian 7 x64 ONLY ! More will eventually come if you wish so !

How to:
First download the script:
Code: [Select]
wget http://montaxx.me/minerscript/installer_debian7.shMake it runable:
Code: [Select]
chmod +x installer_debian7.shThen start it:
Code: [Select]
./installer_debian7.shAfter it's installed, edit the start.sh found in /home/ptsminer/src/ and insert your address.
Now you can start it with
Code: [Select]
screen ./start.shNote: you must be in the directory /home/ptsminer/src/
it will run now in background.

--
To detach the screen-session just press CTRL+A D, it will still run in background.
To attach the session type screen -r, it will now jump into the session.
To close the session, jump into the session and just press CTRL+C to terminate.
--

PS: I know that it's not a professional script, but I'm not that good in it. It works, and that's ok.

If this helped. tips are welcome :) PjvE6KktVtW6oNZRo3xeexJ8gpwKAVuWrv
