If i could have a do over, i would wish our wallet was more like the uphold wallet page. Its drag and drop, easy and intuitive.

@kenCode is the last chance of bts to succeed together with a coordinated marketing. And more specifically stealth IMHO..if that fails then..

By the way. Seeing bts bleeding and bleeding I am starting to think that maybe someone should fork bts,go back to fixed supply of 2billion which is reduced constantly by burning supply from fees.essentially go back to bts1 but rename it bts3 and sharedrop to bts holders excluding exchanges and let the market decide of that value. apparently cryptoinvestors want deflationary tokens not inflationary and this should be obvious to everyone in this community after 3 years of bleeding. What do u guys think?

I like this idea.

Thanks in advance

I think we've got to get the word out in a concerted marketing effort, especially once echo comes online and focus on getting some userability feedback.

I cant believe we're now down near 30th on cmc and our mkt cap is almost under 10m.

General Discussion / Re: Why Bitshares?

Why Bitshares?
Only Bitshares enables free trade of anything at any time from any place.
Only Bitshares does offer a solution that has already proven it's stability and high speed.
Only Bitshares has a built-in corporate law that enables all BTS token holders to create real consensus.
Only Bitshares can adjust parameters like blocksize, fee-schedules and many more directly on chain.
Bitshares is independent and can be used by regulated and unregulated services without changing the platform.

Why does it matter?
The elimination of middlemen saves real money and time.
A decentralized ledger is much more robust than today's centralized entities.
A virtual layer on top of physical goods and services enables a whole new way to interact and exchange in real-time between people all around the globe.
If everyone can create tokens and send/receive/exchange them at will this can create true financial freedom.

Why does it matter to me?
Only on Bitshares I can invest in so many things without asking my broker or even trusting my bank.
I have full control over my funds.
Banks and traditional financial services already get disrupted by Fintech's today and Bitshares has the potential to play an very important role in tomorrows global financial services.
Using Bitshares make me feel to be part of something huge, something that will have an real impact in the near future.
I learn something new about finance and tech everyday by just being part of the Bitshares community.

These are all great points but i wonder:

1. that somehow we need to get this message out more effectively.
2. we should be attracting devs wanting to contribute to the code and keep innovating (i think we need to keep innovating and adding features or we're going to fall behind - we've already dropped from 4th to 25th on cmc). Attracting more devs is key because there will be more innovation and fresh ideas.
3. of course we need more liquidity

Chris from blockpay is doing a great job pushing development initiatives on the mumbles. I think this is important and one of the things we loved about dan was he was soo inventive. That was the hallmark of bitshares in my opinion. We needed a period of consolidation, but it would be a mistake for the innovation to stop and we loose him completely.

just my 2 cents.

General Discussion / Re: plan for sidechain?
« on: January 20, 2017, 04:07:26 am »

This is something we should have on a roadmap. I think we absolutely need a sidechain for bitcoin.

Im excited by Chris's enthusiasm in these discussions. This project needs continual development after our period of consolidation and someone to help drive it.

General Discussion / Re: [hangout feedback] Worker proposal idea
« on: January 11, 2017, 05:50:14 am »

I think thats a good idea Estefan.

I aso think that Chris's point about people chipping in a couple of hours here and there to build new development has legs. Yes, people should be paid, but id a developer/group of developers want to chip in to build something because they believe in the project i think we should encourage it. I dont see anything wrong with that.

OK, we got the detailed report.

Here is some progress after done some investigation:

* among the 4 high-risk issues:
** 3 are related to udt4 which I believe is not being used in the code, so it's safe to ignore or remove the code entirely
** the other 1 looks like a false positive. We're in contact with the "agency", waiting for a confirmation or more discussions.

* among the moderate-risk issues: I checked some of them and found that we do have some issues in the code, but no critical ones are found so far.

Update:
The one high-risk issue is confirmed, we're evaluating its impact (whether/how it can be used to attack the system).

Good job abit  +5% +5%
Thanks for looking in to this.

This topic has been discussed in the Telegram channel and mainly debunked. The source "China research agency" is not a credible source. The report also does not mention any details about the security issues, how the code was tested and what really was found.

Thanks Chris.  +5%
