This full node wss://relinked.com/ws is back on the main blockchain.
The testnet witness as moved to a new private server.
I still have to setup my failsafe script to automatically report and switch to my backup witness.
I still have to setup price feed broadcast.

Cheers,

Hello,

Sorry about this. I've been flipping things around with the testnet to setup a witness and a full node on different servers as requested earlier by pc. This will go back to a normal full node as soon as I finish installing this new server node so I can get rid of the witness. Will be fixed tonight.

Regards,

Stupid question. Are all the witnesses also full nodes? Can you be one without the other?
I wanted a new full node in North-East America/Canada because I think things might be slow up here for us and I also want to be accepted as a witness, but I might have no chance at all becoming an active witness in the forseeable future.
Should I push for the full node worker proposal first and then the witness proposal, or are they both tied together? I guess if the trust is put into the witness, then you are automatically accepted as a full node... Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback abit.
Yep, been thinking on having the witness separate from full node, and I've been reading on setting up a hot swappable witness node and started fooling around with the testnet witness.

As for the price feed, I started implementing Xeroc's version but ran into a few issues. I'll get back to this asap.

Cheers,

Our testnet witness is ready to be voted in. Can you please give the witness "test-neoreel-1" some votes so we can further test this out?
Thank you!

Lol, I started creating a few more accounts like it was suggested in some post in order to vote myself in... When I got to 600,000TEST, I thought it would be enough... Oups, it is 600,000,000TEST required... Hmm... I'm not creating 6000 more accounts! :-)

Is it possible that this thread, at least the start of it is now a bit old? Seems like several info is now deprecated and I can't get my witness to connect to the proper testnet chain.
Any help on the latest and greatest tutorial?

Thanks for any help!

In your wallet, you go in the Options in the upper right corner, then select Voting. You can now select the Witnesses tab and scroll down to 98.
Please note that if you want to vote, you must make sure you don't have any proxy set. By default, your proxy will be OpenLedger, which means that you will give your votes to whatever OpenLedger votes for. If you clear the box at the top of the tabs, you will be able to vote.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Witness Proposal] neoreel-1

There has been quite a few requests for a witness located near the North-East coast of the USA - Canada.
Please, consider voting for the witness "neoreel-1" located near Montreal, which is currently in position 98 with 50 million votes.
You can also connect to this worker using wss://relinked.com/ws

Thank you!

All of north east coast of USA and Canada can use this node based in Montreal:
wss://relinked.com/ws

Please vote for this node "neoreel-1" currently ranked 98 with 50 millions votes... We have been running fulltime since January and we are looking to become an active node but we NEED the VOTES!

Please help us out!

I have never experienced such thing, but have you tried to download the application Bitshares-Light and host your wallet locally rather than using an online service?
Sorry I could not help further...

Might it be your ISP that is blocking some traffic?

I can see that at this very moment, most of the active nodes are unreachable, which is strange...

Which wallet are you using? BitShares 2.0 Light? If so, click in the bottom right corner (to the right of the "Not Sync" message). This will bring up your Settings, then click on the Access tab. From there see if you have some nodes with Low or Medium Latency.

I don't have this problem because I am running a full node in Montreal/Quebec/Canada. Try it if you want and let me know if you still have a connection issues. To do so, just click the "Add Node" button in the Access tab and enter the following node address:
wss://relinked.com/ws

If you want to help me out, you can vote for my witness "neoreel-1" under the Vote Page. I'm trying to get my witness and worker approved by the community and every vote counts!

Thanks and good luck!

Technical Support / Re: How to get account activity for 3 months

Oh, shoot... I'm extremely sorry about this... I didn't see this post was also you... My apologies.
I'm affraid that the CSV exported from there is the most itelligible wait to do this at this time. I've tried to code somthing myself in order to make sense out of this exported data and its not easy to do... Everything are references to IDs to transactions IDs to currency IDs and account IDs... Fun fun fun...
I've been trying to have this tool for myself, so if I can figure something out, I'll let you know. Otherwise you can try it yourself... The easiest way I found was to use Javascript to connect to a full node and request all the account history, but from there, you will need to parse the data yourself, so at this point, the CSV is better.

Sorry I could not help.

That is because you did not export your private keys correctly, or because you did not select the proper import option in 9.3c. I think I did that once by mistake when I tried to import with the option "Import Private Keys" instead of the Import JSON wallet option in the combo box above the field to specify your JSON file... Try all the various options, you cannot break your wallet.
Good luck!
