Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Worker Proposal] Core Team 2019
« on: December 17, 2019, 02:24:48 pm »
Is the old core team going to add a new worker proposal ?

No, the 2019 Core Team does not intend to create a 2020 WP. Individuals may be providing proposals for future development effort.

Support. Really appreciate the transparency on intentions regarding price feeds. Your focus on block production is welcomed.

In response to the fraud that is BSIP76, "fox" continued to publish accurate pricing data. The result was swift: votes were removed by those complicit with the fraud and the most senior block producer was removed from active production. Restoring your vote will move the needle on toward freedom from price-feed manipulation,

General Discussion / Re: how to judge the result of a poll worker?
« on: September 27, 2019, 06:10:29 pm »
Write a BSIP.

Frankly "what you think" is irrelevant.  This project is based on a consistent process to draft, define, evaluate and implement change. In the case of BSIP76 the definition phase was not completed. The fraudulent actions of an individual actor to circumvent the accepted process has undermined this project's legitimacy.

Write a BSIP.

I'm pleased to see you taking this initiative.

Are you willing to share some of the metrics you will be tracking for block producers and evaluation criteria for the worker proposals?

BitShares Online Summit
10 OCT 2019

Description
Being the nature of a decentralized community, consensus building is an important component toward moving our BitShares project forward. Lacking effective communication, voices within our community cannot be heard, their ideas cannot be shared, and the overall project cannot be improved efficiently. This is your opportunity to participate in a meaningful discussion about the future of BitShares.

The BitShares Online Summit intends to leverage the collective knowledge within our diverse, decentralized BitShares community into a live unified online conversation. The summit will focus on topics related to Workers, Project Vision and Marketing of the BitShares project. The format will consist of presentations and Q&A (questions and answers), with open discussion facilitated by English-Chinese Live Interpretation Services to enhance real-time communication. All contributors and community members are welcome to join the discussions regarding issues, opportunities and solutions for growing a sustainable BitShares project.

The 2019 BitShares Online Summit is hosted by the BitShares Core Team, with event organization and coordination provided by Spark Blockchain Incubator.

What Makes This Summit Different

I invite everyone to look at how the top research institutions are attempting to establish cryptocurrency and DLT as an academic field and most importantly why. The MIT Media Lab are hosting the Cryptoeconomic Systems "Field Building Summit" 5-6 OCT [1]. Page 2 sets up the Problem and page 4 addresses the Solution. Companies are most willing to build on rigorously researched system designs. Lacking the establishment of what is fact and what remains an open question, this field will fail to advance to its potential.

The same is true for the BitShares Protocol.

As a member of the Core Team tasked with implementing the protocol, I can assure you that formal research and peer review will lead to more robust designs and result in implementation of the DeFi DeFi tools businesses will build upon and investors are willing to participate within.

I put through a request to the "Data Accountability & Transparency Alliance (DATA) Partnership Application" and will follow up through BBF & Move regarding official engagement from these legal entities.

To Ronny and the OpenLedger ApS Team I say, "carpe diem." Quite an ambitious project to say the least. I've only read through the introductory PDF once and all the bits have yet to fully settle in. The implementation details are left out, so I look forward reading more details about the adaptation of the Graphene Toolkit for use as a private blockchain platform incorporating KYC requirements.

Stakeholder Proposals / Core Team Worker Funding Status
« on: June 27, 2019, 01:37:51 pm »
I am pleased to announce that the Core Team Worker has fully funded its 2019 budget in bitCNY value due to the increased valuation of the BTS token. I am reaching out to proxies and community members to suspend their votes for this WP to allow other valuable initiatives to receive funding. The Core Team will continue its development efforts from the accumulated budget holdings in escrow with the BitShares Blockchain Foundation (should BTS valuation drop I may request lifting the vote suspension to fund the original intent).

Respectfully,
Ryan R. Fox
Development Coordinator
