Protoshares-qt won't start

I have PTS client v4.8.5 that I am trying to run on windows7.
I have tried adding every node I can find on the forum without any luck   

Any suggestions?

Just tried it. The PC says its missing ddl file libgcc_s_dw2-1. But I have downloaded this file.

edit: I have now got the client to work and added a bunch of nodes, but still nothing. Its fine though, I will just keep using the mac version.

this is worrisome, i'll speak with the other guys in charge of this and we'll try figure out what is going on.

Hi. sorry to say, it's the same. Tried with -reindex option and still no joy. Only thing I can try is system rollback. Can it affect my wallet.dat somehow?

is it possible that the blockchain is just taking a very long time to load - can you put the blockchain on a external hard drive (launch client with '-datadir=(external drive and folder)'

No problem. I appreciate your help. So if I can help you just let me know. You need some debug logs or anything else? Some testing or what? Like I said just let me know. The coins are no problem, I will move the wallet to another PC in the worst case.

Yes there are coins. Offcourse i have a backup of the wallet.

Yes tried but no joy. I can remember I had the very same problem with bitcoin client some years ago, but back then I just ended the process in the task manager and restarted the client and it worked.

You say you tried -rescan, did you try -reindex?

Try starting your client with -reindex in console. this will reindex the blocks on your hdd and then connect to the network to sync.

Mac os /Applications/ProtoShares-Qt-0.2.0.app/Contents/MacOS/ProtoShares-Qt -reindex
Windows -- /yourpath/protoshares-qt.exe -reindex

Sorry forgot to post specs...

Windows 7 64 bit , 2gb RAM
Client ver. 0.4.0 (before was on 0.2.0)

When I start the client I can see the first screen (veryfiyng blockchain, loading addresses, ...) but then when the gui should show up nothing happens. However I can see the icon in the task bar,when I right click on it i can see options, debug window, exit and so on. So the client is working working properly just the gui isn't. Worked like a charm for few days but suddenly no gui.

Hi thanks for your answers. Tried all of that, but still the same. Client is starting, just the GUI isn't showing up. Tried with 0.4.0 and -rescan option but nothing seems to work. Will try on another PC and report.
