Wallet shows nothing in "recent transactions"

I've had this issue for quite some time too. I get the following error:

Not the end of the world, but it would be nice to see what my latest purchases etc were. Any ideas why this would be empty? I've made a lot of purchases lately that I receive fine and all that, but there's no history for me to look at...

This has been the case for me since 0.4.6  ... Its never been fixed.

In my case I believe it is a corrupted memo field that is preventing transaction history, not sure though.  I've also got some weird transactions listed around the time of this corrupt memo transaction, that never actually happened and aren't in the blockchain, in my history, viewable from console or CLI.   I'm not aware of any way to fix it.
