I don't know if buying bts now solely for Identabit would be a wise decision, the announcement was 1-2 years ago, if the "launch day" happens lets say at end of 2017 then there is a huge chance that you wont qualify for the "sharedrop" at all even if you manage to buy all the bts in the market.

Also we don't know for sure if Identabit is "alive" or "dead" or if there are any change of plans.

If you still want to buy bts take a look at the list of the exchanges and the trading pairs https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitshares/#markets
If you hold other crypto you might also consider https://blocktrades.us/

Also here is the bitshares telegram channel https://t.me/BitSharesDEX more people are online there

From what I can remember, a random snapshot would be taken between the anouncement day and the launch day, anyone holding bts or brownie.PTS in that specific time, would get part in the "sharedrop".

It does give a similar breakdown on their website, unfortunately the information given on their facebook page is very cryptic.

If John is restarting efforts into IDentabit then I would guess that that information from 2015 is very outdated. I would just wait until more official information comes out.

For others wondering:

Hay fluxer555, i really appreciate your response i've been following IDENTABITS facebook page and twitter   account quite regularly and things are happening, as a matter of fact, on july 8th the posting was whether they were going to have one or two ICO'S this year.

I found this on BITSHARES forum and this is what bothered me as you can see below:

Issuance

Sustainability

50% goes to sustainable funding, released via a method we refer to as Proof of Appreciation.

Genesis Allocation

50% of the remaining issuance would be share dropped as follows.

20% in honour of the existing Bitshares community.

10% to Developers

20% to those identified as constructive contributors to Bitshares betterment
Note: Vesting conditions will apply.

50% of the remaining issuance would be shared as follows

10% to the originators

10% to investment partners

30% to
Strategic Partners
Application Providers
Gateways
Marketing and Technology Partners

If his is true how do they determine who is a part of the BITSHARES community.

Take care,

Loto56.

It seems to me to be a dead project:

Do you have reason to believe otherwise?
