Since this thread is being revived, I'd like to request someone tell the number of confirmations btc38 uses to credit you for pts deposit.

With the current low hashing power and high difficulty it's probably just taking a while to get the required number of confirmations.

freeworm responded in PMs and he assured me they would credit the BTS when the snapshot is confirmed.

Though I am still not clear whether they will wait for the actual release of BTS XT or just confirmation of snapshot block from I3.

55+ hours of waiting now. This is getting silly.

EDIT: Finally confirmed on 3/2/2014 9:12:36 AM (UTC)

@freeworm Please credit the relevant PTS_s to my account.

OK.

So, I just received my PTS in my wallet from BTER after almost 48 hours of getting the confirmation of the withdrawl from BTER.

@freeworm: So now you will credit my BTER account with the PTS_S? As of now I do not have it.

Thank you for your attention to the matter.

I also got my PTS to my wallet from BTER and I would have the same request to @freeworm for PTS_S.

We will credit your PTS_S balance if your withdrawal is finally confirmed in the blocks after the PTS snapshot

Thats nice to hear. Though in future I would request you to add a transaction fee. My withdrawl is stuck for 37 and a half hours and I have no idea when, if ever, it will confirm.

I was once told it is possible to recover the amount and cancelling the transaction if it remains stuck for too long. I am certain I have seen that been done in Bitcoins. Can you do that? I won't mind having the PTS back into my Bter account.

I was told that they will credit the PTS_s for all the withdrawls which didn't go through before deadline. Since they haven't re-enabled trades and deposit/withdrawl I assume they are still working on it.

The problem with PTS withdrawl on Bter is that they put 0 transaction fee, even though they take an eye watering 0.1 PTS withdrawl fee. This is just plain greed. My withdrawl has been in limbo for 37 hours now.

How did you check whether you have the withdraw transaction? I checked with https://coinplorer.com/PTS/Addresses/<my wallet address> and don't even found a transaction with 0 confirmation.

It doesn't show up on coinplorer. It won't show up until there is 1 confirm. So, when it does confirm the timestamp will show you that you are eligible for the PTS_s.

I see that they have restarted trading and my PTS_s is still 0. Freeworm - can you say when you will credit PTS_s to all those whose withdrawls didn't go through?

Actually the trades has been re-enabled about 1 hour ago. So I was disappointed to see nothing in my PTS_S, PTS account nor PTS wallet.

but in case they weren't confirmed before the PTS snapshot, Bter will obtain the BTS for you.
Yes, but at latest when will that happen? I haven't seen my PTS_S in my account on bter.com. How do you check whether the transaction is confirmed before the PTS snapshot or not? I don't see my pts transaction either. So at least for the moment, I've lost both my PTS and PTS_S.

Bter has already take a snapshot of user's PTS balances after shut down the PTS trading at 4:00:00 Feb.28, 2014 CST and save it to user's PTS_S. The user's PTS_S will be the reference for getting BTS redemption in the future. PTS trading will be enabled soon. Please beware of the price change.
The PTS transactions are getting confirmed but slowly. Please don't panic. Bter.com has sent out all the PTS withdrawals but in case they weren't confirmed before the PTS snapshot, Bter will obtain the BTS for you.

For simplicity sake we have given btc38.com and bter.com the following instructions:

1) Stop all PTS deposits and withdraws from 08:00 PM GMT on Feb 28th  until 04:00 AM GMT March 4
2) Clone their PTS depositors balances into new BTS balances
3) Multiply BTS balance by   2M / PTS_MONEY_SUPPLY at the snapshot block
4) Do not allow withdraws of BTS from their accounts until we have passed the testing stage.

After I talked to both CEOs of bter.com and btc38.com, they would like to work with us.

Thank you all.

The deadline passed without the transaction going through. I will contact them tomorrow and ask them to make good on their promise of awarding the BTS XT.

That is good news from BTER, unfortunately, they have not given me such a response yet, but at least that makes feel a bit better.

I only have support@bter.com. Are you communicating with the same email? Or do you have another?

Even if they don't make good on this promise - the entire fiasco is baffling - I am hopeful the community/Bytemaster will decide to award the relevant BTSXT to us if we provide evidence. It will be easy to see what the relevant Bter wallets are as they will be inputs in the transaction (when they eventually happen).

Still, it doesn't put me in a good mood leading up to the big deadline.

I could not agree more. My excitement turned to anxiety today. However, it is certainly an issue such as this where Invictus can prove to us the advantage of what is backing their coin and hope they can provide a solution.

I have about 5 emails in to BTER today with no response.

I was in the same situation, except when I made the withdrawal from Bter  It showed in my local wallet almost instantly, unconfirmed of course.
But now after 22 Hours everything is fine for me,  hope everything is fine for you too.

After 13 Hours I get 1 confirmation,
then after 4 more hours I get 3 more confirmations,
and now  after 22 Hours the transaction have 15 confirmations.

Everything is fine for me   :D
Checking the TxID in coinplorer,  looks like the delay was because bter didn't pay any transaction fee, and I guess that is the reason because the PTS network take too much time to process it.

Good luck for everyone in this PTS Snapshot.

so when you do listtransactions does it show up in your list?

if not, do you have all the latest blocks?
No, the transaction does not show up in my transaction list in my wallet, and my wallet is "up to date". Still no balance in BTER and no response from them either.
If it doesn't even show up in wallet at all then that means they haven't broadcast it (or broadcast some malformed transaction).

PTS allows fees of 0 for high priority transactions and also when block size is <10KB, I think.  (priority is <*27KB?).

it should at least show up

I have the same problem, contacted the support and got response pretty fast, if the PTS won't arrive in time, they will give me the resulting BTS to my account at BTER (as they stated will happen for everyone with PTS there).
It's not gone from their account if it's not confirmed TX.

Same problem. I contacted them and they said similar - if the transaction doesn't go through before deadline (as can be verified from blockchain), they say they will credit the BTS even though your PTS balance won't show that PTS. I asked this point explicitly and they confirmed.

Only problem for me, though is that I sent to Cryptsy from Bter (I sent yesterday and didn't access to local wallet and wanted to go to sleep). So, I am hoping it doesn't go through now coz if it does, there is not enough time to confirm and withdraw. The PTS I withdrew from Cryptsy a few hours back to my wallet still has got only 1 confirm.

however it is probably more accurate to believe that there is a "run" on PTS at these exchanges and they simply do not have the coin in reserve, which if true is really a problem...at least for today.

I think that too.
Probably because almost every one is trying to get PTS to their wallets, bter is starving for PTS.

But how they can do transactions to our wallets (and have the TxID) with out having the PTS?,  If I try to do a transaction from a wallet with 0 funds, the wallet program don't even allow try it.
They do not need transactions, they will just claim BTS for all PTS on exchange (in their own wallet) and distribute it among PTS balance holders as coins on balance, not as real coins. Apparently you will then be able to withdraw BTS to your local wallet or leave it on the exchange.

That would be fine if the PTS was in my account on BTER, but I withdrew and received confirmation through a TxID from BTER, however there is no sign of it in my PTS wallet. So, no PTS balance in BTER and no PTS in my local wallet. Now, I can not even see my PTS withdraw history on BTER as they have suspended PTS trading. BTER has not responded to my emails yet.

What if they don't actually have all the PTS that they should, given that exchanges often have less than the full amount as mentioned above. That would mean, they wouldn't get allocated the full number of BTS that they in fact need to cover their customers' PTS held on the exchange.

This is what I would like to know. Specifically my question is with this transaction information in the withdrawl history, is this enough evidence to prove our ownership of the PTS in the blockchain?

I am obviously no expert. However, I realize that I3 has been clear that the PTS needs to be in our personal wallet, but what do we do if we get stuck in the middle at the deadline?

Will the snapshot of the blockchain show these "uncompleted" transactions?

Anyway, this is weird, I make two withdraw transactions to my wallet.
first one 2/27/2014 13:20  with 0 confirmations.
and the second one 2/27/2014 14:43 with 43 confirmations.

Why gets confirmed the second transaction first?
Is not supposed a chronologically order? or is somehow random?

So, I emailed BTER and they responded rather quickly however there is still no solution.

I have a confirmed withdrawl in the Withdrawl Records section of my account, but do not even have an unconfirmed amount in my wallet. So, I seem to be in a middle ground here. I have seen this  http://bter.com/article/177, but the issue is that my PTS is technically not in my BTER account anymore.

If this continues until past the deadline, it would be excellent if Invictus could make a statement to try and help by finding a solution and/or putting some pressure on BTER to find one.

I realize that I should have done it sooner, but I believe 48 hours should have been ample time, however it is probably more accurate to believe that there is a "run" on PTS at these exchanges and they simply do not have the coin in reserve, which if true is really a problem...at least for today.

I have the same problem, contacted the support and got response pretty fast, if the PTS won't arrive in time, they will give me the resulting BTS to my account at BTER (as they stated will happen for everyone with PTS there).
It's not gone from their account if it's not confirmed TX.

Tnx. I found the Announcement  http://bter.com/article/177  :)

Is your wallet currently Online?  How many active connections do you have (lower right)?  If it's your first time using the wallet, you may need to add a couple of nodes.

In the topic above yellowecho suggested to add a couple nodes to the wallet, do you think that will help?  and which  nodes should I add?

Thanks in advance

Confirmation speed doesn't depend on number of PTA transactions. Low hashing power is the problem.

I am having a similar issue withdrawing from Cryptsy, only one confirmation in 8 hours.  I don't know if this means my funds are in PTS, still on Cryptsy, or in some partially confirmed limbo state.  Any suggestions as to what I should do?

I am in the exact same situation

Do you think is it possible,  bter exchange is "doing something" to make this transactions "inconsistent" or "faulty" (I don't know how to call it)  with the purpose of holding the protoshares after the Snapshot, and keeping the corresponding  bitshares for them,  and then after that release the protoshares??
I don't know if that is possible but who knows...

I am just a newbie trying to figure it out.   ???

Please,  some one could help us,  maybe contacting bter support?

PTS Withdrawl from BTER not arriving in wallet!
« Reply #1 on: February 28, 2014, 04:15:24 am »
I withdrew PTS from BTER on 2/27/14 at 4pm EST, and it has not shown up in my wallet. I have done this many times before and the process was fast and without issue. Now it has been 7 hours and no sign of the PTS yet in the wallet, and the withdrawl is confirmed as a record in my BTER history!

Any help or insight would be appreciated.
