I would like to participate as a delegate in the testnetwork.

Servers located in either Kosovo or Albania. If need be we can get a DigitalOcean VPS.

What performance do the servers require?

Any profits will be used to build 3rd party apps on top of the BTS ecosystem.

The top 100 volunteers can start out being a delegate just for the fun of being there when it all begins.

But if you want to remain a delegate, you will need to get and stay elected.
Now would be a good time to start practicing making the case for why you are among the top 100 best delegates in the world.

Example qualifications:

You are well known and trusted.
You have a wickedly high performance and reliable node.
You are located in a diverse geographical location or legal jurisdiction.
You appeal to a big demographic of which you are a member.
You are cheaper than your competitors.
You promise to do something Truly Worthy and Inspiring with your earnings.
You have a cute icon or a clever delegate name.

 

Should be interesting.  Will there be a section on the forums where members can do their campaigning for election as delegates?

My server (Linux) host(with static IP) located in the Beijing, China .
I am a it engineer。
I have half a year to invest in PTS
I believe that 3I will be successful, I will always support 3I

In Mumbai, India; but I would need detailed steps. I have somewhat of a knowledge (burned BTC for XCP for instance), but have hardly used Linux.

Also, once in a while (average every 3-4 months), theres a power outage. The good thing is that they usually inform us in advance, so is it possible to announce beforehand and take the delegate offline for the period?

I think I would host it at DigitalOcean (San Francisco) or Linode Tokyo.
Perhaps change to South Korea IDC later.

I'm in. I can use vps on any main city of China if needed.
I suggest anyone who really want to be a delegate should depoist some PTS as "cash pledge". For exampe, 100PTS. If some one can deposit 1000 PTS, the possibility of becoming a delegate is much more.
Is this a good idear???
