My question is: Do you have any interest in bitshares?

I was heavily involved in MMC DAC as you've noticed, and also in BitShares PTS. I did not post as much about PTS because I was doing mining instead of marketing.

My main problem with Bitshares is that I can't mine it. That's why I'm not involved as much as I was with MMC or PTS. This problem is what this whole topic is about. But I'm really interested in BitShares and I will be heavily involved once BitUSD and other derivatives are ready.

That's cool.  Didn't think about the advertising side.  Does that mean the podcast will get bombarded with spam ads, and is any ad accepted?  Because if you start denying people ad space they want to pay for, I could see the price slowly tanking.

Adam has some simple rules what qualifies for an ad and what doesn't. The only noticable rule that I remember is that gambling ads are not allowed, but most normal things are ok.

At the moment I see a lot of profit in LTBcoin and Proof of Participation that's why I'm doing it. That's why I would like to share with the other people so they can get some of the profits too. But I'm not the guy who could create something as genious as LTBcoin.

I know Adam but he's focused on LTB and I'm focused on Bitshares at least while I'm on the Bitshares forum. He's a shareholder and posts here often so we all know him. I also own some LTB coin.

I'm not doing anything I haven't always done. Just because I think we should attract miners to Bitshares it doesn't mean I'm in favor of Proof of Work the security model. The purpose of mining for Bitshares is that is the only way to market to people like the poster above who chase profits through mining. It's an equal exchange because our community benefits as the hashing power they would ordinarily waste is used to buy Bitshares and increase our market cap.

Basically this and my guide are trying to solve the same problem: how to mine the unminable. The difference is that LTBcoin mining is much more profitable at the moment. I'm mining both PoW and LTBcoin right now and profits I'm getting are not even close. LTBcoin is like 10-100x better.

Contact me in private, we can discuss it further. I've been trying to solve these problems for the past 6 months if not more.

The gist of it is that we want maximum community participation, contribution, but we also need people to get paid so that they become stakeholders in the DACs they work for. I've refined this idea even further so that certain kinds of DACs reward attention itself.

I think LTB is implementing something like that with magic words or something similar. The idea is that attention is a scarce resource and a DAC can pay participants for attention in the same way that ads use this model to power the world wide web.

Step one is to make Bitshares mineable. That will do a lot to attract different demographics to Bitshares. Then later on we can try more advanced stuff (first you have to prove that DACs actually exist in reality before you can go further).

Bitshares X is the flagship DAC. It's success is critical to the success of everything that comes after it. The Bitshares toolkit will allow us to create our own DACs with delegates (I like to call them operators), and if we have a way to vote then I could see how you could do proof of participation, contribution, or whatever else.

The reasoning behind it is that some people don't have a computer to mine with such as people who access the community through a library computer. These individuals might have a lot of time and anyone can write stories for example. People who cannot write stories can take surveys relevant to the community and get paid for that. This would allow the DAC to do market research on it's users.

Recently I was shocked to realize that I’m getting the most profit from the coin that doesn’t even use a computer to mine. This is the coin of “Lets Talk Bitcoin” and you mine it through “Proof of participation”. Basically you just post in ltb forums, leave comments, argue with people, you do the same what you would on bitsharestalk, but you are getting paid for it in LTBcoins and you’re paid a lot.

Example:
2 weeks ago I’ve made maybe 10 posts in the forum (not even that much) and listened to podcast that counts as additional 5 forum posts. I was paid 15900 LTBcoins at the end of the week. I’ve sold them on the the exchange for 555 satoshi each = 0.088 BTC My next week's profits was 0.075 BTC This is insane! This is a way more then I'm getting from the regular mining.

And there are plans on this forum for Proof of Contribution/Participation as well. The better way to do it is to let the delegates vote on who receives bounties (LTB uses Counterparty).

If you'd like to see it implemented then you have to convince people.

I'm convinced it will happen. If I make a DAC people already have a good idea of how I intend to do it. I believe in rewarding community contribution and using votes to determine the priority and value.

First we want to have a functioning Bitshares X and then we can try out these different ideas using the Bitshares toolkit in future DACs. August is a critical month in the history of the DAC.
