Technical Support / Re: Private test net setup done what next ?
« on: July 07, 2018, 10:27:43 am »
I hope you are kidding....

That's super. If you don't require the decentralization and only the audit trail a blockchain offers that is the way to go.

If your testnet is up and running and producing blocks, connect your UI to it and enjoy your now empty blockchain!

514
You can do all that without touching the backend by applying proper filters on the frontend.

The customers using your UI would not see all the other things going on, but you would still use the Bitshares Blockchain. From a cost effective point of view that is preferable over running your own blockchain fork.

General Discussion / Re: Strange proposed transaction
« on: July 04, 2018, 09:20:49 pm »
Anyone can create proposals, but the creator is not stored. You would need to find the create operation to look at that.

Proposal cant be canceled, only approved. Nothing happens if it expires.

Technical Support / Re: How to develop a coin for bitshares ?
« on: July 04, 2018, 06:31:25 pm »
1. Yes, BitShares UI is wallet and exchange in one

2. No, it is a built-in feature of the BitShares Blockchain. You can configure your own BitShares UI deployment to only a selected amount of assets

3. Graphene is coded in C++, already pointed you to the person in charge. There is no easy way to lean Graphene. Try and fail, and fail again. And then, suddenly, it's working and you don't remember why, because all of your head is filled with beautiful Graphene knowledge.

Please spend time on actual research of all the sources that have been posted to you already.

1. This is a deployment of the BitShares UI, which is a frontend that connects directly to the Blockchain. The exchange is integrated there as well

2. Click "Create asset" at
    https://wallet.bitshares.org/#/account/himel2017/assets

3. Adding new Smart Contracts to the backend is a tedious task, the current backend team is led by Ryan Fox
    http://www.bitshares.foundation/workers/2018-03-bitshares-core
Please contact him, he can point you to the right documentation. Adding SmartContracts to BitShares requires that you do a BSIP which then needs to be approved by all Stakeholders. To have full control directly by yourself you would need to setup your own Blockchain.

Consider your use case and if you really need any new Smart Contracts. Almost all common use cases can be handled with already existing Smart Contracts.

Good job.

Then go to
   <your_wallet_url>/account/himel2017/create-asset/
to create a new asset with the hime2017 account.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Smaller Worker Funds
« on: June 27, 2018, 03:54:53 am »
One way would be to have a general budget worker according to the budget worker model of the BBF. It would need to have some kind of board that decides what is actually being funded.

The downloadable app offers best security in combination with local wallet.

No we’re not working with the current UI worker team because we have all the necessary team members in-house and would rather not try to collaborate with a remote team because it’s inefficient.
Debatable. Knowledge transfer never hurts, collaboration would have been nice.

Here are some more questions, sorry for pestering ...

A)
The Scorum UI/UX worker will be funded with BTS at a set bitUSD rate
What do you mean at a set bitUSD rate? Will you continuously sell bitUSD until 347800 bitUSD are reached and return all the rest (like the foundations worker model?)

B)
Regarding the escrow, we’ve established connections with many committee members and keep in close contact with them and we’ll be delivering regular milestone updates to the community.
I would have really liked to see an actual escrow, but that is only my personal opinion. Would you be willing to ask those committee members to vouch for this publicly?

C)
Can you please comment on what you mean with this initial sentence
Quote
The income from this worker proposal will be invested back into further development of the Scorum sports ecosystem

D)
You are mentioning a follow up worker proposal that does the actual implementation. I assume that you also do not plan to collaborate with the existing UI team then (basically direct competition with the current UI worker, which would then get rendered useless)?
Also, can you estimate in what budget range the follow up worker proposal will be?

Thank you for your time!

I really like the design audit, many flaws shown in the existing UI. Some good know-how behind you guys! I am wondering if you have considered working together with the current UI worker as the UX redesigning input?

Anyways, I have been looking in the details from your homepage. I see the following calculations:
Quote
Total
bitUSD 347800
BTS 5434375
Days 152
BTS per day 35752

Is the worker asking to be funded in bitUSD with exceeding BTS to be returned? Is there an escrow? What happens if price spikes or drops?

In the end of the propsal you say

Quote
The income from this worker proposal will be invested back into further development of the Scorum sports ecosystem

That suggests that all exceeding BTS are funneled into Scorum? Can you please comment on that?

I'm unsure what the exact deliverables are. A working prototype?
