So i decided to finally move my protos from cryptsy to my own wallet, downloaded the mac wallet and it just won't connect, "no block source available"

i tried the debug method addnode add and also onetry no luck.

Anyone else was able to solve this ? seems like many ppl have this issue but no solutions yet ?

I came up the same problem with mac client this evening and found some useful node here(https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=355.0).
Guess you can try the same way.
help->debug->console and input commands:
addnode 61.238.157.8 add
addnode 54.254.192.95 add
addnode 54.207.21.146 add
addnode 54.206.30.227 add
addnode 54.219.164.14 add
addnode 146.185.172.136 add
addnode 162.243.14.13 add
addnode 5.9.24.81 add
addnode 23.92.25.118 add

thnx lib, its syncronizing now but v v v v slow :-P

im kinda giving up on the mac client if it doesnt improve in the next day or so lol

I am having the dreaded No block source available problem.

I am using Protoshares version v0.8.5.0-unk-beta
When I first set it up a few weeks ago I had this issue but it resolved itself after I added nodes through help->debug->console. It was working and then I joined ypool to take a crack at mining, but ever since then I have not been able to get Protoshares to update. I don't know if that is related, I retried adding a few nodes including addnode 168.63.12.227 add which returns an error:Noode already added. I have tried restarting the client and leaving it on for long periods of time, and tried using the client with the ypool thing off all with no luck. thanks in advance for any suggestions?

168.63.12.227 has changed IP, instead IP please use DNS name: cryptoseed.cloudapp.net
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=355.msg2864#msg2864

i tried this and it worked , but my client is now "syncing wiht network" but so damn so this might take a month lol !

BitShares PTS / Re: Anyone remember these prices?
« on: January 13, 2014, 07:43:09 pm »
will get even more regreat about the prices after a couple of years

0.1 BTC by 2015 for PTS. It's looking good. That will be around $1000 peak with $100 if nothing changes. That is a magnificent profit for speculators no matter how this plays out but if Bitshares is a success we will see 0.1 BTC and let us remember that BTC will go up between x10-x100 from here this year.

Crowd funding will become more important as the price of PTS appreciates because anyone will be able to be an investor and there will be a lot more accredited investors too. Positive feedback loop, the more DACs there are the more PTS. In a few years a PTS could be going for 0.3 or 0.4 BTC because I'm projecting a growth rate of around +0.1 BTC per year based on the success of certain DACs.

So 0.1 if Bitshares is a success. Then of course there will be DACs which come after which could turn it to 0.2, and then 0.3. I don't see it getting a lot higher than 0.3 though because you will have Mastercoin and Ethereum to compete with. Mastercoin I predicted it would reach parity with Bitcoin but now that it has such competition it might only reach 0.7. It's impossible to know for sure.

Mastercoin is expected to surpass Bitcoin in value, that remains to be seen though.

as for PTS & AGS i am very confident in significant price appreciation over the next 1 year.

BitShares AGS / Re: Suggestion: price AGS in $

Really great job with agsexplorer, love it!

One suggestion that i think would be nice to see is a chart or price history where you can see the previous daily price of angel shares in BTC, USD and PTS.

Unless its already there and im blind!

I plan to purchase some ProtoShares, now if i buy them am i automatically going to be allocated ANgelShares ? or do i need to donate some protoshares to get angelshares ?

Yes you need to donate Bitcoin or Protoshares to get Angelshares. If you are after Bitshares its a good deal.

Or you can donate the bitcoins directly.  There are two pools of 5000 up for grabs every day.  One for BTC and one for PTS. Pick the one with the lowest donations that day to get the biggest percent of the pot.

Donated some BTC for AngelShares yesterday, was a good deal until the last 30 minutes the price surged upwards :P . I'm gonna keep buying in the coming weeks hunting for better deals :-)

Thnx luckybit def 0.1 would be a great figure in 2014 if protoshares can achieve this. I am confident it can as long as we keep pushing forward

Unfortunately, Mac wallet does have this issue, cause it's still version 0.2.0. you have to add all the nodes you can find, if you are lucky, the wallet will connect to the network. Otherwise, just wait for 0.4.0 version for Mac wallet

thanks for the reply ripple, that's too bad as i'm a primary mac user. Think i'm gonna wait for 0.4 or maybe install a wallet on my vmware windows machine.

http://invictus.io/ looks great:)

Here is my 2 cents with small suggestion -- Do we have any section in "News" about completed MileStones with more info about major events/releases?

Thx,
Pinov
