Hi Bytemaster,

My daughter has just told me how naive I am regarding the Chinese/Korean and the mining pools.

I had no idea how prolific it was.  Is it a case of pump and dump?

It is important that PTS and Invictus have some means of ensuring longevity by making it worthwhile to hold bitshares to stop this practise.

Cheers

Email chain for those who may be interested;

Hi Guys,

Really like your platform and have recommended it.

If possible could you add NMC/IXC & DVC to your exchange list?

Kind regards,

Ria (aka kw)

Wow I had no idea - this explains why the Chinese are so far ahead of us...

But how do we market to the EU/US etc market..

I am prepared to help but don't have the technical skills just the sales/marketing, which I am prepared to offer for free as I believe in the product.

Hi,

think this is off topic..

I mine with ypool and there are currently 37K workers online - some of those will be sub workers from the same person but if you have 3 different mining pools plus solo mining there must be at least 50k miners of PTS out there so why aren't we seeing these on the forum?

Do we need to incentivise ..yada yada

There is a marketing opportunity that is being missed guys..

Hi All,

Please be advised that you can ignore my references and just go straight to the site.

I have just had an email from https://bter.com/  to say that they are adding NMC to their list of currencies. I requested a number of alt coins in order for exchange to get PTS.  So if you are BTC cloud mining with    https://cex.io/   then you will soon be able to exchange your NMC for PTS via BTC.  It may or may not be cost effective haven't yet checked but another avenue to get PTS.

Does anyone have any marketing info for PTS/ keyhotee as my area is sales and marketing..

Cheers

Hi Stan

Thank you for your response and taking the time to answer my questions clearly.

The Founder ID is my Christmas pressie to myself, so I will be sending the PTS this week.

I am probably being incredibly dense - not unusual for me...

I have got together my PTS to purchase an ID and submitted my request.

I have now received an email with a PTS address to pay into.

Before I pay my questions are;

Is this address my own PTS address and where is it held?

Is there a GUI that I can see the PTS, which will be locked against the ID purchase?

If I don't get my ID or get out bid and my other choices aren't available do I get my PTS back or are they gone forever?

Will I be notified if someone else wants the same ID as me before Christmas day or not?

If there is no interface will I get some confirmation of my transaction for the ID?

I appreciate that these issues may have been covered elsewhere but I just want to be sure of the process.

I consider the idea of ID etc great - all information encrypted in one place under one ID - there are so many possibilities for this that it is very exciting.

I am quite a cautious person and wouldn't normally invest in a new idea like this, especially as I am not techie and don't understand half on what is being said ;D , however I think for a minimum investment it is worth it.

Hopefully someone won't mind answering my questions just to put my mind at rest.

Thanks

Keyhotee / Re: Kehotee ID very expensive?
« on: November 22, 2013, 05:07:17 pm »
thx for the mining info Dannotestein,

I am using an old machine - windows vista intel r TM2 quad CPU Q8300 2.5Ghz - 4GB

2 days of mining and I am at about 0.2 pts, so a bit more than initially predicted.  The pc is not doing anything else - other than warming the room a little  :)

If I can do better elsewhere I will definitely look at it.

Used some BTC to obtain some PTS at bter - https://bter.com/ref/16750  (ignore by ref if you like I just have all my links on a spreadsheet) - as I had some left over from an LTC purchase.

So will be getting my ID soon.

cheers

Good news about the chain offering a way for people to get their ID.

Any idea when it will be launched or has this been posted elsewhere?

Hi,

Expense is relative - if you have money then the cost of the Kehotee ID is not expensive on the other hand if you are scrapping by then $100 (coin equiv) is a lot.

Unfortunately mining is not really the way to go unless you get lucky - I am currently mining with ypool and by my calc it will take me about 17 weeks at the current rate to get 10 PTS.  So in my book mining is just for fun - never done it before so thought I would have a go.  Tried solo mining but didn't get a sniff.

I have also used BTC faucets etc to get free BTC and then used cloud mining to make it grow a bit - also a slow return but better than nothing.  You can then exchange the BTC for PTS - have previously posted a link (won't do it again just in case not allowed  :)  ).

It is unfortunate that money, or lack thereof, always comes into the equation.

May be Invictus could offer a free draw which would allow people to put their names forward for an ID, which could be drawn at the opening, and say the lucky 10 drawn are able to secure an ID.  If it was a free draw then you wouldn't be able to specify your ID prior to the draw as it would be unfair on those that had purchased or bid for an ID.  This may also be a way to generate interest in the project.

General Discussion / Trading, buying & selling PTS
« on: November 21, 2013, 08:41:39 am »
Hi

I was looking to buy some PTS, also mining with ypool, and I notice that it is now listed on an exchange.

I have put my link to the exchange below -apologies if this is not allowed just ignore it ;

https://bter.com/ref/16750

I have used this exchange to buy and sell other crypto currencies and have not yet had a problem.  As per usual trade small to start and don't leave too much coin in there.

I will be purchasing some PTS through the exchange today using BTC.

Cheers
