Will Bitshare DAOs have more or less than this?  And what will that be?

Ethereum is an interesting academic exercise and a great way for people to explore the DAC space, but anything worthwhile that can be made into a "true" DAC will be cloned, made more profitable and scalable, and made to honor PTS =D

Shit, I just saw this:

That's a 50% per year tax on the holders of Either, right?  I see more and more of these kinds of dumb things being done by that group, and they are loosing my trust, fast.  Nobody is going to want to pay that tax rate.  Why would they?

Also, the fact that Vitalic was involved in the "Dark Wallet", really destroys my trust.  We need to be as open as possible, and have a mantra that everyone know everything, if you ask me.  Dan Laramer, and Invictus Innovations is more open than any other organization I've seen, that's another reason I'm loving this camp better and better.

But yes BTS blows all altcoins out of the water, the only advantage BTC has is confidence in the code. I think we shouldn't be in a rush to market until the code is battle-hardened a bit

It's not advertizement, it's simply communication and being open.  Any secret thinking along these lines will destroy our reputation.  The reason the securities and exchange commission regulates the hell out of the IPO process is precisely to solve this problem:  people getting blindsided, and loosing lots of money.  Being open and communicating to everyone, in a trusted way, is the only way to avoid having the hell regulated out of the crypto currency market.  Without good communication, the general population will be thinking:

"Those bastard geeks just stole all my money, since I didn't know what they were up to, they should be thrown in jail, and all their money should be confiscated so this doesn't happen again for anyone else."

As much as possible, we need to make it so they think:

"Wow, I heard about that, and if I would have listened and sold then, I wouldn't have lost all this money.  Next time I will pay more attention, and I'll be the one profiting."

Sure the Invictus code isn't battle hardened yet.  We need to make sure all such is part of the communication, and this is the difference between advertizing.  We need to vet the ideas as much as possible, pros and cons, so everyone can know in a peer reviewed way, what is coming, before it comes, and also so any problems can be uncovered as soon as possible.  And Invictus code can be fixed, so that doesn't bother me, it's just a matter of time.

I propose we start a new camp to communicate what we are doing here, so people can see how the experts compare Bitshares to all other competitors as soon as possible:

The competing Crypto Currency competitors include Invictus Innovations technolodgy, Ethereum, Mastercoin, Colored Coins, NxT, and possibly others.  This stuff is all very technically difficult to comprehend, fully, so knowing which is best is not something even very smart people can do good due diligence for.  This kind of theoretical work is an ideal candidate for the amplification of the wisdom of the crowd process that can survey all the best experts to find out what the expert agree is truly the best, and why.

So we are creating a topic to survey for what is the best DAC technology:

I am going to make an attempt to describe the business logic, but will probably get much wrong, so I'm interested in any and all help with this.

First, let me point out that we do have some funding available if anyone is willing to work on an hourly bases to get a Canonizer DAC up running, and integrated with Canonizer.com.  Currently we are offering any of the following funding options for one hour of work:

    A: One share of Canonizer.com
    B: 0.75 share of Canonizer.com $25
    C: 0.5 share of Canonizer.com and $50.
    D: 0.25 share of Canonizer.com $75

We are interested in being able to allocate new Canonizer.com DAC shares for each of the shares already being earned.

And of course, as you pointed out we could do, we are interested in implementing a system so that people can use these shares to invest in, or short various theoretical 'camps' at Canonizer.com.  We'd like everyone to be able to track the investments and shorts of each camp, comparatively, along with other select able 'canonizer' algorithms.

Ideally, all new coins would be allocated for doing this kind of work, determined in a leaderless distributed expert consensus canonized way.  It'd be great if no mining was required at all.  Possibly just have a small transaction fee going to people processing the blocks, or whatever is the best expert determined way to do all this.

The goal of Canonizer.com is to first find out and communicate, concisely and quantitatively, what everyone wants.  Then the goal is to achieve it all, for everyone, without getting in the way of what anyone else may want (as can be documented in competing camps).  The idea is, that as soon as you achieve enough consensus, or find enough people that want the same thing you do, it will just happen, one way or another.  And having some DACs supporters could contribute to fund such efforts to get things done would be a great boon to getting things done.  And allocating coins to get work done, according to what everyone wants, seems like the best 'proof of work' for new coins possible!?  Could any other crypto currency come up with a better way to control and allocate new coins than such a leaderless amplified wisdom of the crowd way?  Governments allocate new fiat currencies to do what the dumb government hierarchy wants, surely we can do that all in a distributed, leaderless expert consensus meritocracy amplified wisdom of the crowd determined way?


Does that help as a start to how the business logic of a Canonizer.com DAC would work?  Any of you may have way better ideas of how to do this.

Canonizer.com is an open survey system that gives shares to people that contribute 1 hour, or $100 to Canonizer.com.  We desperately need to implement a DAC to manage these shares.  Or, people can collect $50, and .5 shares, for one hour of work, for example.

We also want to create a futures system, so people can bet Canonizer.com DAC shares on various theories.

If anyone is able to help with implementing such, as soon as possible, you can earn shares and money.

Bitshares requires some established blockchain to ride on top of, correct?
Even if Bitcoin aproaches a near worthless value, and the trading valume also drops similarely, it will still work to have Bitshares ride on top of it, right?

And also, how hard would it be, if Bitshares started up, and ran on the Bitcoin block chain, for a while, how hard would it be to switch this to some other block chain that was out competing Bitcoin?
