I connected Xeroc and Erik already. They are working on the BTS 2.0 integration.  It is good to hear that BitUSD is back on track.

how do you pull the different wallet balances? What kind of script or cli wallet call are you using for that? I think that would be very helpful to keep track of your own UIA.

Let´s say i want to pay dividends or drop shares i need to know who holds my UIA. Any tips here?

One way is to walk through the 1.2.X objects in a script with command "list_account_balances".
Code: [Select]
list_account_balances 1.2.309
May need to make sure that no fund moving while running the script.

What does 1.2.309 stand for? Is that a wallet? the current Graphene version?

I like Valentine´s approach too. But we should also consider other good designs mentioned above and just take over the position of features within the screen. I think Valentine´s design is to simple and interesting enough in contrast to all the other suggested designs.

Is there a pool to vote for a certain designs yet?

There is still no answer for whales. I met some interested whales but they don´t like the high collateral wall. We might need to change our sales approach too and talk about a real "BTS" standards. The next evolution in financial policies.

I know. I am holding ~25 BOTFUND but i did not see any dividend dropping since 2.0 . BOTFUND was working very good in 1.0.

Can you check on bts: chris4210 ?

I think BitShares UIA are similiar to Ripple now. Every Gateway (Exchange) is issuing their own UIA and you need market makers between each Gateway (!!) to keep the liquidity flowing. In my opinions , that is the biggest problem with Ripple today.

You need to trust each Gateway(Exchange) seperatly and each Gateway UIA has its own price.

The biggest problem for the internal system are the unpredictable risk to bootstrap the liquidity. Since we have 200% Collateral, we need to put 200 BTC in value on the chain to get 100 BitBTC. How can we motivate whales to lock away so much liquidity?

The first million BitBTC is hard to bootstrap ;)

I am still looking forward for the direct Fiat to BitFiat deposit. When can i take EUR and buy BitEUR on the chain directly?

an account recover service will be available in the future. However there is no such thing right now. Did you made a new backup with you 2.0 wallet?

371
Yes, the filter is integrated in the light wallet too.

Just download the standard Windows light client and upload your backup to integrate to 2.0 .

It seems that what we need is the trade section of the wallet looks like Poloniex, so we can slowly eat the crypto trading makets because we have a cool UI and funds are blockchain safe.

Next to that, we would need to have a way to connect (not create) something like MT4 to our data so with the trading volume created by the wallet UI we could start attracting professional traders.

totally agree. The DAX does not need to look like MT4. It just needs a simple to integrate API so that already existing Platforms can link into the DAX market.

This is great initiative. I think we can take already existing HTML5 codes from https://www.tradingview.com/features/ already and feed the charts with BitShares DEX data.

https://www.coinigy.com/ is a good example of an multi exchange interface for Bitcoins. You might noticed that they use tradingview.com charts.  They integrate all big BTC Exchanges in one interface and allow you to trade and monitor your balances. They are also developing arbitrage bots and a simultaneously trading bot for different exchanges. Than means you can buy and Sell BTC at the same time with one simple click on two different exchanges. This makes arbitrage trading very easy.

A Chatbox / Trollbox is mandatory to bring in people and to keep them in a trading community.

http://protrader.com/platform/desktop offers additional features and designs.

I think at the end we just need a simple interface to attract the first group of traders. Polo´s interface would be a good start. However i think it would be more important to offer a simple API connection so that other platforms like MT4, Protrader.com, coinigy.com, etc can link and tap into our markets easier. Let the trader decide which interface they want to use for their trading.

Here is a short report from the 2. International Digital Finance Crypto Tech Conference in Zug.

It was an interesting conference with around 85 attendance from Switzerland, Germany, USA, England, France, etc. primarily talking about regulatory challenges in the Swiss market. As of today, Swiss still requires a banking license to operate a Swiss based Bitcoin exchange. This makes it extremely difficult for any Swiss based Crypto startup to get off the ground. However the greater area of Zurich and Zug develops a Crypto Currency cluster with many leading blockchain companies.

Since this conference was hyped by the presence of Ethereums Chief Legal Officer i was surprised about here bad performance as a speaker. She was the key speaker for compliance issues, however she did not even talk about the real challenges for Ethereum. I saw 3 other pitches  from Ethereum based startups that were heavily under performing... Funny enough, nobody bothered to explain the technology underneath. Anybody new to Crypto was totally lost with Eth presentations....

That needed to be changed. So i gave a speech about BitShares 2.0 and showed real use cases scenarios where companies and Startups could profit from the Graphene Blockchain.  I was talking about DEX, >10.000 transactions per block, Decentralized DB, and UIA systems. Surprisingly most people thought "this is to good to be true", "all Bitcoin problems seemed to be solved"

Well. I think so too. It is time to step up again and to acknowledge what we have. After the speech i talked to the Singapore based company www.dgx.io who was very unhappy with colour coins, had rooky experience with eth and are now interested to look into BitShares. Nice!

I also talked to the founder of securosys , a swiss based hardware security system, that is looking for new cold storage technologies. He is providing high quality infrastructure for bank servers today and would love to create new cold storage USB´s to safe our funds. Anybody interested to build BTS cold storage devises?

For all new startups around south Germany and Switzerland i recommend to reach out to the SIX Fintech incubator. I talked to their associate director and they are constantly seeking for new innovative Fintech companies. Anything where they can extant their influence on the Swiss market. And they are the Swiss market leader in POS - Systems already  ;)

It was also great to catch up with Erik from Shapeshift.io . He is now sitting in Switzerland and increasing his business.

Overall it was a good conference and i encourage everyone to spread the word about BitShares, recruit new companies and to bring us out of our niche. We do not want to leave the whole field for some wacky Ethereum startups. Let us start building real business based on Graphene.
