I found following  post in reddit  any comments ?

I have spent a lot of time researching Bitshares. While I'm no finance expert, there is one thing I am convinced about: Bitshares is complicated.
In an attempt to make the concept accessible, one is told to think about it as opening and closing positions in a never-ending futures market, where there is no requirement to take delivery. Bitshares is an extrapolation of what is known as a prediction market, a concept that has been around since the 1940's. But Bitshares is not a classic prediction market, which is defined by a specific point in time when the game is over and the winners and losers are known. It is an extrapolation of the prediction market -- a substantial and likely unproven extrapolation. That's why the red flag is raised for me: Why hasn't the Bitshares model been implemented on a centralized exchange at some point in the past 50 years? The presence of an anonymous, decentralized exchange is NOT a core requirement for the concept.
Warren Buffet will not invest in anything he doesn't understand. I'd advise anyone who is interested in investing in Bitshares to think it through very carefully and convince yourself you know how it works and that the market will accept it.

Hi Bymaster,

do you agree arghag's statement that "We need to hard fork to incorporate the new features" ?

it will be very troublesome if hard fork need to be taken place for each new contract .

I do agree that it is more like getting apple to bundle your app in the next iOS release and having all iOS releases require shareholder approval.   It is a much higher barrier to addition than the app store.

On the other hand, with enough review and testing it shouldn't be that hard to get contracts updated.

Why the source code of your exchange in GitHub is not uptodate ?

BM,  look like delegates need to spend more resource/time on you new proposal.

you can get all feeds for a market ..
blockchain_get_feeds_for_asset
for averaging you can take a calculator

note that the market (afaik) uses the MEDIAN .. not the MEAN over the feeds (for initialization)

we need a nice way to discover the average delegate's feed price. and may need to add "average feed price" and "feed price" to console command "blockchain_list_active_delegates "

Could you build these features into the system anyway, so that its an automatic fail-safe that kicks-in at a certain stage if necessary, to account for any future eventuality?

i think those features are already in the btsx platform.
