Sounds like I'm the only one that got any BTS out. It took ages but it did actually work.

I finally recieved the test amount I mentioned here:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=14291.msg192670#msg192670

But that was different circumstances if you read.

It took over 12 hours I think.

I haven't tried again since it was officially enabled. But I'm sure they will fix it soon.

Awesome update and that v4 looks amazing! I'm really desperate for this on Android. Keep up the great work :) Thanks.

Ahhhhhhhh, finally... :)

I think I was the first one on earlier when it relaunched. I went to BTS withdrawal and it was enabled. Tried to withdraw 1000 bts test amount, it said it was successful but I never received it. Then a few minutes later it was disabled and still is now.

Does this work for Amazon UK gift cards? If so I might sell one for bitUSD.

Yeah there is always lots of gold smuggling going on but these people want the physical form, I don't think bitGOLD appeals to them much, rather I see bitGOLDs biggest potential with the average joes like myself that just want easy exposure to the price.

You're forgetting about the bitSILVER and bitGOLD to gold and silver coin offramps that are being set up as we speak.

I'm not, these places still need physical form though right? From that blog BM posted about it I got the impression one day you could go into a pawn shop for example and trade bitGOLD to real gold and vice versa, so say this pawn shop was in Bangladesh and they are short of physical form they might try smuggle it in. Maybe I'm just being dumb, its 5am :/

The way i see it at the moment is we rely on bitcoin to continue succeeding and bring more people into this cryptocoin space. I think now bitcoin is entering Wall Street phase over next 2 years and we will begin attracting these types into BitShares once they begin to see the amazing things it has to offer, these people are like our target demographic. Right now I think most bitcoiners aren't too interested in BitShares due to previous PR disasters, bad marketing, and overly complicated presentations but its just a matter of time before we have A LOT more new people invested in this industry with bigger money and looking for the next big thing. By this point we should be ready at least with basic wallets on all platforms and increasing liquidity to get it off the ground properly. The whole concept and philosophy around BitShares is solid and certainly has many advantages over bitcoin itself, I keep saying this I know but I really don't see where the competition is, BitShares is still very young and I have patience...

I think we're on the cusp of something huge.

+5% I constantly feel this way from hearing all the criticisms against bitcoin, whether its volatility, speed of transactions, POW, addresses, etc and seeing all solutions bitshares has provided to fix these problems. I don't see any competitors in the same league as bitshares at the moment. The building blocks are being laid down right now with the beta releases of web and light wallet, mobile wallets to come as well, these are the biggest things we have needed for so long and the other projects can be built on top of these after. To sell now when this project is so young is beyond my comprehension but whatever.

Interestingly, the counter argument I was watching for did not appear until the very bottom of the 3rd page, when fluxer555 posted the reply “...anyone can trivially record mumble sessions without using the built-in function. There is going to be no way to stop people from recording.

The simple logic of this statement stopped the OP dead in its tracks. Fortunately, it’s curious absence from the first 3 pages allowed many of us the opportunity to explore the roots of our feelings about censorship, and recognize that most of us have quite similar sentiments.

I said it on page 1  :-*

Detailed profiles is good idea, but I doubt the majority browsing here cares that much to get in depth like that.

You sure as hell wrote a lot of paragraphs for 2 basic proposals. Nicely written though I must say haha

Does this mean that they will not allow to withdraw any other altcoins until they rebuild their backend? Why they left this open for speculation?   :-X

I think so. I can't put into words how much hate I have towards bter staff right now. I have waited ages already and now we could be waiting months more. :(
