General Discussion / Solomon, DAC
« on: November 26, 2013, 12:50:10 am »
Need arbitration on a problem or dispute? Let neural-networks and global voting systems be part of the process. Both parties might agree to a binding decision, and allocation of dues as a result. Why would people in dispute do this? If they believed a system to be inscrutably fair and just, they might consider it over current costly alternatives. Those shareholders weighing-in on a decision might lose or gain depending on the final majority consensus, and they might profit by the outcome decision, but the key here, though (surely?), is to dissociate the algorithmic decision by the DAC and a public vote. Public opinion on multiple decisions, however, might (somehow, independent of market forces) be fairly programmed to affect subsequent decisions, ultimately to evolve into an autonomous independent self-learning DAC.

Team, anyone?

1. Logo designer
2. International lawyer
3. Coin developer

Ideas welcome...

One interesting thing is that a DAC could automatically work out which ideas, over time, led to successful (popular or profitable) ventures. Protecting and rewarding successful ideas probably isn't something that is done very well at all the moment, in many countries around the world.

Would it best to separate out patents and copyright into different DACs? Two big topics...

count me in too please

Additional PM just sent

Having a very random block award with background mining might suffer a limitation that people would switch over to mining a more instantly profitable coin. One idea might be to add random pauses to the default mining rewards - just even for a few hours at a time every day (and variably so). This would make it very much more expensive for VPS instances which are often on hourly rates. Changing the algorithm randomly so that server hardware initially selected becomes much less efficient (eg by adding a transient GPU element) might add another obstacle for VPS. I'd be careful about immediately making the mining rewards far less frequent as it would be less likely for the coin to gain wider acceptance.

I made several withdrawals, largest one was 1000+ pts, didn't have issue.

To be safe, it's always better to limit your risk by keeping smaller balance and making more frequent transfers though.
Can back this up - no issues for me. Questions handled promptly. Lots PTS transferred out without a problem.

">i decreased the payout barrier to 0.33 (should be low enough now)"

thanks for that. continuing to receive steady payouts.

It was up for a while, but down again now...

Escrow required with soniq - his profile is on btctalk. Please post / PM your best offer if this is too low. Looking to get some this weekend.
I will carefully report back on the smoothness of any transaction if this helps future buyers / sellers.

I can test...
