Is unusual to see your open orders in your order history list.
My perception on Order History list are already completed trades, there is Open Order List anyway I would suggest to remove it in the Order History.

If I'm bad guy, and I have 1 million USD. I want BTS price keep falling down.
What I need to do is, change all my money to BITUSD, Then wait the monthly expire of short order. I'll hold all my BITUSD until we have no enough shorter, the expired short order have to get the BITUSD to cover. Shorter need to sell BTS to get BITUSD, while all the BITUSD is hold by me.This will keep the price falling.

As a bad guy, I'll lose nothing, while earn some interesting.

I think the rule need be changed. The one hold BITUSD should pay people short for them.

In an bank I borrow money, and I can use the money to do more meaningful things, and I have to pay interesting.
In BTS, I short BTS and create BITUSD, but I can not use the BITUSD, other people get my BITUSD, and use BITUSD, and I have to pay the interesting to him. What a fuck???

BITUSD is for trade, not for people to hold. I'd like suggest people who short, set interesting to 0.
People who hold bitUSD can use the bitUSD to trade, to buy stuff, to hire people to work for them in the Internet, and can invest with bitUSD. bitUSD is like the money in your pocket. Any bank pay u interest while the money is in your pocket?
As a Shorter, yes, we can get more BTS. BUT, the BTS is locked, we can not use the BTS do any thing but hoping the BTS price goes up.

This is not how the world run!!
We need is real economist. Don't tell me BM is a economist..

We have already identified this problem and also the solution:

1) No interest on BitUSD
2) No expiration on Shorts unless USD request force settlement at a discount (profit to the short)
3) Bond market which locks up BitUSD like a CD and pays interest.

BM, please always make a pre-announcement on any new features of every next wallet release so it will create a buzz and a good impressions that asides from bug fixing the wallet keep adding new features.

Sometimes even a simple feature can make a huge news if done right.

General Discussion / Re: Confusing Account Orders History
« on: April 22, 2015, 10:01:55 am »
I traded the markets displaying price just like showing in bitsharesblocks.com, but the Account Order History is showing the flip side of market price.
So reviewing my bid/ask history confuses me. Am I the only one with this problem?  ???

In version 0.8.1? I believe I fixed this in v0.9.0.
I see, will check in 0.9, thanks  :)

General Discussion / Re: Brainstorming - metaexchange feature
« on: April 22, 2015, 09:37:02 am »
I am interested about this since I am planning to send some BTC from bitstamp and I know some others friends are going to do the same. Will this be a problem? In case of a problem we can always pm you and you look at this right? For us if we download the whole bitcoin wallet it will take at least 3 days to synch...We are all in BTS for quite some time now...

Be careful if you do this - if you send over the maximum transaction size, the transaction will get refunded to bitstamp, not to you.

I am planning to implement a proper refund address setting as per shentist's sugguestion, but for now, please take care when you send :)

Thanks Paul. But if I send always lower amounts than the max amounts shown i.e. 0.1 BTC less everytime there shouldn't be a problem with any refund right? And if for some reason something happens I could always contact you and we can fix this right?

It will be troublesome, contacting exchanger and verifying addresses to the max manually, exchanger will hate you for this. :D

If there is BTC refund, transfer small amount to customer Bitshares account with memo that they have BTC refund and a short URL that redirect to How To Refund page in your website.
The How to Refund page explain how to send small amount to your Bitshares account with Bitcoin address in the memo, and with example.

or compress the message in the memo on how to get the refund.

General Discussion / Re: New DEX exchange ANN

Bitshares should always post a pre-announcement to all new added features of the wallet so it will create a buzz like this post doing buzz with NUbits now.

What buzz?  They haven't even done anything.  Don't get me wrong.. I wish them luck but the 'buzz' is non-existent.. besides, they're a year behind BitShares building a DEX.. by the time they have a product BitShares will already be well established.

Precisely, they haven't done anything yet but this thread is talking about it.

Does the buyback of Notes mean it will be distributed  to Notes holders as interest?

Market symmetry is important.  Charging interest to shorts will reduce the demand for shorting while complicating things.   The only interest rate I could see making sense is a GLOBAL interest rate charged on all shorts put in place to govern the total issuance of all BitAssets backed by BTS.

Yield on USD is best accomplished by a bond market with fixed terms.  BitUSD == checking, bond == CD.

So does this mean you cannot earn yield just holding bitUSD, you need to put it to bond market to earn yield, right?
Does this apply to all bit assets like bitBTC?, bitCNY? and what about BTS bond market?

I also have this problem. Can't build.

Any solutions?

Try to remove the leveldb dir
install the bitcoin leveldb
then cmake

rm -r libraries/leveldb
cd libraries
git clone https://github.com/bitcoin/leveldb.git

In short, if you want to do this, don't live anywhere near the USA and don't expect to be able to board an airplane any time in the near future. ;)

Other than that it's a great idea!
