Openledger / Re: openledger.info faucet
« on: October 20, 2015, 07:38:24 am »
Hi,

the network raised the account creation fee to 95BTS to combat spam. After release, we've had alot of spam attacks, and they've stopped now.

Best regards
mindphlux

Where and how those decisions are taking place?
I it related to the voting mechanism?

« on: October 16, 2015, 01:13:56 pm »
Hi,

Those who participate in moonstone crowd funding receive V1 backup wallet with the founds.

Restore this wallet  in 0.9.3 and
Code: [Select]
wallet_export_keys ...
End with  json file that not contain any account key:

Quote
{
  "password_checksum": "c10....5a59fa",
  "account_keys": []
}

The moonstone backup wallet is file, I successfully restored it in the past for checking.

How can I import the those found to V2?

Thanks

later on go to the web ui and import the wallet, with all the keys. The balance will be reflected in the cli.

Did you mean web wallet of the light client?

My balance is fine in the web wallet. I didn't install the light client.
How do I share the account with the cli_wallet?

Technical Support / Start using the cli_wallet
« on: October 16, 2015, 08:58:08 am »
Hi,

I would like to use the cli_wallet. But I didn't find and clear decontamination.
The test net setup guide is the closest thing I found, but of course some of them not relevant now.

https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene/wiki/How-to-setup-your-witness-for-test-net-%28Ubuntu-14.04%29

To be specific:

-Dose running witness_node automatic join the network, or I need some startup parameters?
-Who do I copy my V2 web wallet to the cli_wallet?

Thanks

Hi,

It look like bitshares.openledger.info don't have "Import Keys" as mention in
http://docs.bitshares.eu/migration/howto-importing-wallet.html

What am I missing?

I'm stuck with this - and it didn't work for me - but you can use wallet_dump_private_key owner accountname in 9.3.

Now me allso, it give
Code: [Select]
null

Technical Support / Import wallet to V2 CLI wallet
« on: October 14, 2015, 04:16:02 pm »
Hello,

I'm following this guide:
http://docs.bitshares.eu/migration/howto-importing-wallet.html
I export my Wallet using 0.9.3c and want to import it to CLI wallet.

Code: [Select]
import_accounts myexport.json mypass

Output:
Quote
10 assert_exception: Assert Exception
fc::sha512::hash( password_hash ) == imported_keys.password_checksum:
    {}
    th_a  wallet.cpp:2591 import_accounts

and
Code: [Select]
list_my_accounts

Output:
Quote
list_my_accounts
[]

What went wrong?

Other question
This guide mention that in order to claim the balances. One need to:
Code: [Select]
import_balance <account name> <private key> true

How can I extract my private key from the old version?

Thanks

Technical Support / UIA name length
« on: October 07, 2015, 11:03:00 am »
Hello,

I tried to create UIA and fail on: "Symbol name too large"

My name is 9 charter long.

I didn't find any clear documentation regarding all the roles.

In some place it say that short name are expensive. How short and How much?

Is may UIA will be upgrade to V2.0 without name change

Thanks

...

I'd rather ask if the asset is being renamed to bts-asset.id. I'd say yes, but there's no public info. @bytemaster

Will the asset name be change during 2.0 upgrade?

Technical Support / Lost bitshares ?
« on: May 04, 2015, 05:02:50 pm »
Hello,

I send to my self yesterday bitshares from bter.com exchange.
I can see the transaction on bitsharesblocks.com but the bitshares and the transaction information did not appear in my bitshares client.
My client is bitsharesGUI-0.9.0-linux-x86_64 and it sync with the network.

Please advise

Hello,

Suppose I have two computer running the same Bitshares version.
The first computer is sync with the network and the second is out of sync.
Can I stop Bitshares in the second computer and copy the "chain" subdirectory from the first computer in order to save sync time?

Are there any difference regarding the "chain" subdirectory between bitshares_client and bitsharesGUI?

Thanks

Mostar

Technical Support / Question abut the core development team
« on: May 01, 2015, 07:15:04 am »
Hello,

My impression is that Bitshares development and future, is heavily dependent on  Bytemaster and his core developer team.
I was wonder by who and how well they are funded?

Are the developers that are delegate (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yrif9uThwSY) are part of the Bytemaster team?

Dose in the current situation delegate fee can sustain full time developer?

Thanks
