A further comment on this: I only think a fee makes sense for unwinding a BTS short / Smartcoin margin position for the instant settlement. 24 hour delay (like there is for Force Settle) could be an even smaller or non-existent fee. I also think perhaps a longer timeframe option for the two could be offered with less/no fee, such as 3 or 7 days for force settle (in this case to avoid the equivalent of the larger 5% fee).

Is there any fee for creating or unwinding a BitCNY margin position? Or are fees ONLY for settlement offset?

If so, why don't we have a small fee for unwinding one, to reduce the opportunity for manipulation? No more than executing a forex trade - 1% or so (about the round trip cost on Forex), maybe a little more for now to encourage certain things, as we're doing with the 5% for BitCNY to prevent removing smartcoins and manipulation (although this fee is extremely high, I understand the temporary need. In the end I envision maybe something like 0.5% for unwinding a margin position, and 1% for force settlement as fair and the funds go back to the BTS ecosystem anyway...)

The obvious solution to prevent market manipulation is a small fee on all official Smartcoins. I would suggest 1.5-2% for smaller liquidity coins, and as low as 0.5% on very liquid, fiat-based smartcoins. 5% is too high though..

the force settle shouldn't be allowed before the feed price worked.
then SILVER would not become such a Joke.
who made this silly logic in the core?
and who take responsibility for it?

no, in fact the share holders think this logic is right.
they have done another awesome worker.
congratulations to the Great Bitshares community.

What are you implying? Did someone get away with an improper trade/settlement and make "free" money? Can you share some proof of any issues?

they make the price of SILVER almost 4X, it's the worsest accident in Bitshares.

I'm not following. What do you mean 4x? Why is this the first time you are bringing this up (silver)?

Worker is voted in.  Please keep us updated on what is being done to achieve the goal.

Yes, please update. Thanks.

Xeroc, whats the best way to follow all of your great activity right now? Seems like we should vote in a Community Manager / Project Manager role with all the increased activity, hard to keep up and stay organized.

Can someone please revive BTSBots? get the code or talk to the dev?

Also, are BitGold and BitSilver now working again?

Which fork is this?
If he is talking about the upcoming network upgrade (https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-core/releases/tag/2.0.171025), then I have no clue what @alt is talking about.
There are no changes to the "trade logic" - there only is BSIP18 introduced which allows restarting black swanned bitassets.

Can you two please connect and work this out because losing BTSbots would be damaging to BTS, moreso than this network upgrade in the short term.

If the bot was released open source on github, and could run from Ubuntu, I'd be interested.

If the bot was even hard coded to give a 1% donation from all profitable trades to a hardcoded BTS user, I'd even leave that in there to support the developers myself. Of course anyone could take that out, but if I get 99% profit from using the bot, I'd use it.

Don't bother trying to donate from the profit. That's a whole huge can of worms. Profit is NOT easy to calculate from a MM bot - AND, Bitshares does a horrible job of reporting / P&L anyway (for now), as you can't export your trade histories more than a few blocks back.

Coming from a seasoned market maker, I encourage you not to code in any donations based on profit. The whole point of BitShares is that you wouldn't need to anyway - that's what the Bitshares funding mechanism is for (worker).

In any case, BitShares desperately needs more liquidity. It would be cool if this helped the average user participate in market making - love this movement! Nice work!

Bot shouldn't focus too much on profit at first. Just make a way for noobs to add buy and sell walls with X% difference from feed price. More advanced techniques can come later easily.

Any luck on Daily USD Volume Charts? That would be a nice add for your report, wouldn't be hard to track, and doesn't exist anywhere (not sure why explorers for BTS haven't bothered with such a chart.)

Only way i have found that i could do this is sample the rate everyday manually and then generate a chart.

This might be good item to ask Alfredo to add to his list for the block explorer he is working on.

It is a great suggestion and would be really useful to be able to see the trend change/ most popular day for trading ect.

I did try asking him a few times but it seemed to upset him a bit.

But anyways, good job adding total number off accts with BTS.
