@Rune in the beta version you will be able to register your name as soon as you install the app. @dargonar is working on it right now.

@mdj, iOS version is working fine. If you want to help us test PM you device UUID or go to https://github.com/latincoin-com/bitwallet/tree/dargon-dev-ios and build it yourself!

I have updated the OP mainly to warning testers to not fund the mobile wallet using the GUI.
We should use wallet_transfer_to_address, otherwise the GUI will generate a titan transaction that wont be visible to the mobile wallet (for now).
If it happens by mistake PM me and i will help you recover those funds.

Ok, if you never have used the wallet (transfer bitXXX from desktop wallet to mobile) there's no problem.

Did you transfer bitAssets to the old wallet? or to this one?

"Unable to refresh" when launching the app. Also cannot receive fund (or just not shown).

Nexus 5, android 5.0.1

Did you follow the instructions to update?
(export wallet, install, import wallet)

You can always view your balance using.

Stakeholder Proposals / Delegate Proposal: Mobile Wallet - elmato
« on: December 20, 2014, 12:27:06 am »
Dear community,

My name is Matias Romeo and together with Pablo Tutino we are both cofounders of Latincoin.com.
We are based in Buenos Aires (Argentina) working from the "Bitcoin Center Buenos Aires" (aka: Bitcoin Embassy)

We are looking for a 100% pay delegate to fund the development of a mobile wallet.

In fact we already started with the development and today we release the alpha-2 version.
 https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=11902.0

I have been presenting BitShares in the first meetup held in Buenos Aires together with @fran2k.
 http://www.meetup.com/Bitcoin-Argentina/photos/25792368/#432388669

Short term goals are:
 - Have a stable mobile wallet for Android/iOS published in the stores.
 - Have On/Off ramp with Bitcoin
 - Have On/Off ramp with ARS

Also we are working together with @Method-X and @matt608 helping them with the marketing strategy for Argentina.

Besides this we have bigger plans for BitShares in the region, but i don't want to oversell but to deliver first.

Please, ask any question you have if in doubt to vote.

Thanks
Matias

We are based in Buenos Aires (Argentina) working from the "Bitcoin Center Buenos Aires" (aka: Bitcoin Embassy)

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=11902.0

http://www.meetup.com/Bitcoin-Argentina/photos/25792368/#432388669

Matias

General Discussion / Re: Maintain blockchain balances in DB
« on: December 19, 2014, 03:53:30 pm »
Thanks bytemaster.

I know that limitation.
In general terms it will only capture results from operations declared in a transaction. (no market, no yield, etc)

We are not thinking in let the user trade inside this wallet, in case he wants to exchange bitUSD for bitCNY the wallet provider can give that service.

------
I just want to know what is the correct way to handle a chain fork for someone that is importing states using the rpc interface.

Thanks again for your reply Vikram.

I will try to be more specific.

We are maintaining in a mysql DB every balance in the blockchain.
Since blockchain_list_address_balances was not available by the time we started, we maintain the balances looking for every deposit/withdraw operation inside every transaction.

For every deposit we add the amount to the corresponding balance, and for every withdraw we subtract.

So, when we find a fork we go back to the common ancestor block applying withdraw and deposits (from the forked chain) the other way round. (subtract for deposits, add for withdraw)

The question is.

Is this the correct way to handle a chain fork?
What is the bitshares_client doing when he has to revert a fork?

ps: we will be changing to blockchain_list_address_balances/blockchain_list_address_transactions as soon as they are available
