We got a new problem now!

We got delegates who are DEAD being voted UP while delegates who are WORKING being voted OUT!

All the dead delegates are old Chinese based ones getting voted up. I can't help feeling something got lost in translation somewhere.

Anybody have any idea what is happening here? We now have delegates that are not even active in the 101. Does anybody know where all this movement is coming from?

Meanwhile my poor additional delegates to make MineBitShares grow are getting passed by all around this storm.. funds are going right into volume for BitShares.. so http://vote.bunkermining.com

I am also going to take the opportunity to remind people about delegate.dposhub-org << what we are building is going to put an end to all this craziness. Tomorrow we will be asking some very technical details about accounts in 2.0 that we need clarification in order to set permissions levels properly. We just haven't tooted our horn because we been wanting to wait till our first beta launch. Both crypto-pro and I have lost track of the countless hours put into it already. Already spent several hundred dollars on various apps and some licensing. We are confident though that this is just all kinds of awesome!

So approve delegate.dposhub-org if you are looking to end this craziness with delegate reporting. :)

If they are looking to take aim at any other delegates to down vote, how about voting out delegates not maintaining feeds?! ihashfury has attempted to bring attention to this for months.. helped bring some around.. but others still continue to ignore it.

It seems Bytemaster might have been wrong about voter apathy last week. One time I am happy he was wrong. :)

He charges 50 Euro or so per hour, maybe that“s why.

I agree that he is doing a great job and always reports and burns.

50€ / h is very undervalued for a developer like PC is ... usually rates are about <= 80€/h

what's up with kencode? all I see from him is $5 translations for some YT videos

KenCode has been doing a lot behind the sceens.

I can second that, I am sure his work will show in time and feel he does deserve some gratitude

I think it is important for any and all delegates to be able to write somewhere what has been the work of the week or something, for anyone interested to take a look. In case some things sounds like something member could in fact contribute with for maximum outsome in favour of Bitshares network, well that would have been the reason for listing this in the first place.

Some people are good in helping and assisting others which are very valuable assets in a network like Bitshares, others are very busy in the back building for the future which is instead only seen on the long haul, either way both kinds of identities need credit for Bitshares to grow and get exposed to the world, and none of them should be feeling embarassed to write all the good things they have done, even if it seems a bit egocentric, but as a delegate it is important it seems to be visible one way or the other, so that there is no doubt in anyones mind what funds are going to.

The React-Accordion and BitShares Ticker first, then the React language selector shortly thereafter.

All of these React apps are being used in the BitShares POS software.

I have to say WOW at what just happened..

New to the 101 now
btc38.com.crypto-exchange <<< their client is mega old.. whats that doing there?

Yeah it is a very surprising turn of events at this stage of the experiment. Can't say I understand the voter's rationale either.

Congrads to those whose rank got better, condolences to those whose rank dropped.

You make an interesting observation tho DSN on btc38 and their rank improvement. It's no secret the Chinese seem to have a have a major stake / voice of control in BitShares, this may be evidence of where this shift originated.

I made this post months ago and still think this list is accurate for who should update or be voted out

-market.cn.group101
-sollywood.sollars-com
-dev0.nikolai
-tradbts.gulu
-media.bitscape
-www.bts-hk
-dev-metaexhange.monsterer.  Are you guys making enough money in fees to lower your delegate pay?
-media.bitscape
-fund.bitsharesbreakout
-delegate.rgcrypto
-dev.sidhujag
-dev-trial.misc.nikolai
-dev-pc.bitcube
-dacx.baozou
-provisional.bitscape
Good list.
I would leave dev-pc.bitcube in as he is actively working.
bitsharesbreakout is a trustworty custodian to distribute funds where needed imo.
Don't know about sidhujag.
But it SHOUDLD BE ON THE DELEGATES TO ACTIVELY UPDATE THE SHAREHOLDERS (pc for example does that).
Bitscape's two delegates with no delivery and no updating/justification why there is no delivery  is quite hard to justify.

Would you consider a submission to the last nullstreet release to be an update?

We tweet occasional good days of payout for MineBitShares ... but otherwise spend hours every day processing and maintaining it and getting little dev we could get done with what little we got.

I have to say WOW at what just happened..

sollywood.sollars-com -- GONE
provisional.bitscape -- GONE

btc38.com.crypto-exchange <<< their client is mega old.. whats that doing there?

Who should be voted out still that is teetering on the end:
dev-trial.misc.nikolai
dev0.nikolai

the dev-trial thing hasn't been updated since Jan and it never went anywhere.. and toast is working for Google now, not BitShares.

minebts2.bunkermining-com and minebts4bunkermining-com make it into the 101 for all of about 10 minutes before dropping gain.

You might want to consider a more aggressive automatic weighting for delegates that become unavailable or that do not perform against basic metrics, like upgrading. I took my BTS+DVS delegates offline a few weeks back, not that the BTS one was ever in the 101 but still I see no change on the ranking of either of those.. which is slightly odd, given that those are not responding they should loose reliability weighting faster. There might be a risk of abuse via DDOS but I expect there will need to be DDOS protection deployed on real delegates anyhow.

Relying on voting.. compelling voters to be active, always seems like  a weak link. Most BTS holders, most of the time will be busy doing more than attending to the politics of BitShares and then also voting to that.

btstools.digitalgaia delegate part of their proposal is to develop an anti-ddos solution for delegates.. their proposal outlines the method.

Recently when genso went MIA on the verbaltech delegate and Thom took it over.. I suggested working with wachou since btstools.digitalgaia was not making it into the 101 to support that worthy project. They are working together now... but look at what happened to their support! btstools.digitalgaia is now WELL into the 101 and verbaltech is now nearly out! I don't know how to interpret that, but voters seem to prefer now to have the 30% btstools.digitalgaia supported over the 100% verbaltech.

Anyhow.. just wanted to note that there is an anti-ddos solution being worked on with btstools which I fully support and have offered to help any way I can from the bunker with his work.

That's a mighty big fish!!! Me feels the waters churning  :o

Major shifts like this don't speak well for decentralization, but sometimes shakeups are required to move people out of their complacency.

Bitshares is more about shareholders' power than decentralisation.  We are seeing the action of bts in motion. A big shareholder/group of shareholders is/are expressing their votes of dissatisfaction.
