The icon looks very neat on the homescreen, and really functions well.

I have ID hadriantest1 and 2 if you'd like to chose one of them. I'll try sending between them, and then to someone else if they put their ID up here!

Are you excited merivercap?! :)

Yeah absolutely.  Fantastic.... thanks so much @hadrian! Sent some to hadriantest1... you just got some bitcash... real value!  I'm going to stress that with all the new people I show.. real value/money that no one can limit, freeze or restrict... they're the bank now!  :)

BTW if you click on the key symbol, you'll download the .bin file so you'll have a recovery method if you clear your browser/cookies... you can also import your key into OpenLedger or https://bts.bitcash.org to see your account there as well.   Your pin is your password.

wow .. that thing looks great ...
if you offer a way to import an existing account .. people wouldn't need to create new accounts to play around!

great thx!

yeah we're trying to minimize the features and this only displays CASH.USD/bitcash so we imagine people will just send CASH.USD to this wallet.  I can send you guys some.  Just let me know your account ID here and I can send some to send back and forth to play around!

I've tried it on chrome now as well as Cyanogenmod browser.

You've described it as "a very simple starter wallet for mainstream users". I think it will serve it's function very well. It's going to seem like magic to people once they've tried it to send bitcash!

When I first tried it I put my name as 'hadriantest', but my ID showed as 'hadriantest1' on what you might call the account screen. Then I tried it on a different browser (chrome) and entered my name as 'hadriantest' again. This time my ID was 'hadriantest2'. If this is to do with account names being already taken, perhaps there should be a prompt or message for the user. Also, I'm not sure why I wasn't allowed 'hadriantest', because it's not taken - do you automatically append a number?

More feedback to do with inconsistencies in the way the sending amount is displayed. A couple of examples showing input and resulting output:

1 -> $1
1. -> $1.00
1.0 -> $1
1.01 -> $1.01

Also:

1 -> $1
1. -> $1.00
1.0 -> $1
1.00 -> $1

Yes this automatically generates a cheap account name to make it easier.  Just adds 1 if the name is already taken.  Cheap names need a number or a dash.

Thanks for the feedback!  Will try to figure out that display bug.

BTW did you add to home screen?  If you do that you should get an icon and it will feel like a native app.

looks great!

Thanks!

probably because "hadriantest" is a premium name and costs the faucet a lot.

Yes that is correct.

BTW if you guys send me an account ID with the account you're testing with I can send you some bitcash to test...  it's always fun sending small amounts of real value back and forth.

Nice one! It seems to work on the stock Cyanogenmod browser on my android phone by the way (obviously with Cyanogenmod OS).

I suppose I should hold back on giving feedback until I've tried it on the intended chrome browser!

Hello BitCash Founder's Club members!

We have our alpha version of the simple mobile web wallet up at: https://wallet.bitcash.org

It only works on Chrome for mobile.  (Hopefully we can eventually get the graphene-ui code to work on iPhone/Safari)  We'll eventually use React Native for iOS/Android, but having a mobile-centric web app is a good start.   You can go to the url and  'Add to Homescreen' and it will act like a native app.  Otherwise you can just use your laptop/desktop to test as well.   It's a very simple starter wallet for mainstream users.   I don't imagine people will put over $100 in it in the long-run.  It's designed to be a 'money-clip' wallet for spending cash.

Anyways if you guys can check it out and give feedback that would be great.  I'll send you guys a small amount of bitcash to send back and forth to test if you give me your user ID... Thanks!

I also think option 'B' sounds entirely reasonable. :)  Glad to hear things are still proceeding.  Let us know how else we can help!

I already have 2 dead bitshares wallets app on my phone. Are you a competitor with @kenCode APP, or are you working together?

Which wallet apps are these?  Could it be that your current wallet apps on your phone are just delayed in development?   Anyways I understand your concern and frustration, but startups are not easy or always successful so hopefully you can continue to support us all despite any setbacks.

We're not currently working with kenCode, but I think the more products there are out there the merrier.   Every business has its own team, product, business model, target market etc. and it's great that consumers like us have options.  The market is huge so there's reason to be optimistic in general.

Yes, delayed is the right word.

I think option b would probably be best.

Thanks for the vote!

I vote for B should we import our bitshares2.0 wallet just wondering

Thanks for the vote!

It's up to you if you want to import your accounts.  It's not necessary for the referral program because as long as you have an account on Bitshares it should work the same.  If you want to use our faucet wallet as an alternative or backup that's fine.   You can always create a new account yourself and import those keys to the new account to try it out and see if you like it.

@xeroc would you suggest just having a git fork that includes the changes to the wallet files?  Is there a way to have a cryptographic signature that could be checked by the end user?

@xeroc  @puppies  I gave it a try and committed the UI changes here: https://github.com/merivercap/bitshares-2-ui
Thanks!
I think blockchain.info has a technique to at least verify that the deliverd js files match a checksum/hash

That seems like a good idea.
