Good... with BTS 2.0 still being far away I think it is critical that all delegates publish price feeds.  Even if it is just manually twice a day.

I love the way we will be differentiating ourselves from the rest of the crypto world... Let others fight over micro payment scraps as we go after the big fish

I think the $0.20 referal fee is fine.  The fee should be partially reimbursed by wallet providers.  It will create competition between wallet providers to either be a discount basic wallet and offer most of their collected fee back to customers or be a premium wallet that charges more for advanced features (good trading interface or more bells and whistles).

Also $0.20 buying power will go down with the constant inflation that the USD sees... It won't mean nearly as much in 10 years as it does now.

"

As soon as the software is ready, it will enter a public testing period for gathering community feedback. This testing period will last until the community is satisfied with the new system, after which an upgrade snapshot date will be announced with at least 30 days notice.

"

Is there an ETA when the software will be ready?

General Discussion / Re: COUNTDOWN TO ANN RUMOURS!

So was this announcement suppose to be at noon eastern US time?  Almost 2 hrs late if it was.

What happens now is that you wish you had bought BTS with it instead.

Are you two not fans of moonstone?.. and if not, why not?

Rather than just chatter nonsense, I put money where my mouth is. Try and take the piss, if you want but it's more useful than hot air and cheap shots. Also Taulant recommitted to the 15% return today, not that the return over the top of what those BTS will be is why I did it.

During Taulants hangout the other day he mentioned that most of the big players are waiting until the end to add their funds.  They wan't the wallet badly and don't really care about the BTS return of 15%.  They wan't someone else to pay for the open license, then the wallet is basically free for them.

There was just an announcement today that you can buy bitUSD on CCEDK with a wire transfer.  The best bang for your buck would be to open up an account there.  Wire them USD. buy bitUSD.  Then sell the bitUSD on the bitshares exchange for bts.  I think you would stand to make 5-10% on your money right away.

Crypto bear market intensifies and Bitcoin falls to 120 per coin to shake out the last of the Bulls.  Bitshares holds against btc but doesn't rise.  Bta 2.0 is a success and revolutionary for crypto, but fails to bring in buyers. Market cap oscillates between 10-20 million for the rest of the year. Global interest rates spike causing stock markets to crumble. China loses 40% and the U.S. Loses 25%. Gold and silver outperform and finish at 1400 and 27 respectively.

I hope DPOS2 will fix the voting issues. I pay $100 every month just to run for Delegate
How so? My machine cost $9 a month .. what monster machine are your running here?

Quote
.. and I run high-quality feeds too, which most Delegates don't:
http://bitsharesblocks.com/delegate/feeds?name=delegate.kencode
Can you elaborate on how you achieve "high-quality feeds" here?
I see an
Average deviation from median: -2.60%
for your delegate .. while my delegate's feed shows:
Average deviation from median: -0.17%

Quote
The fees I pay, the bounties I pay out, the feeds my server produces, the verifiable work that I do here, the business connections I bring, the media attention I Agent, none of that matters in DPOS1. So, I have high hopes for DPOS2... :)
paying fees for the feeds is part of the job description .. you don't need to publish feeds if you are not in the top101 .. really .. no need!
Why do you think that you work is not honored with DPOS1 and it will change with DPOS2? Shareholders obviously do
a) either not yet see your contributions or
b) they see your contributions as insignificant or
c) they don't trust you ..
why should any of this change with the protocol upgrade to DPOS 2.0?

Xeroc bringing down the hammer!

Obviously I'm not going to win this battle as anyone who may have bought bts with knowledge that an exchange would be integrating BTS isn't going to admit it here.  And i'm realizing internet battles might be the least productive thing in the world.  I'm also not a BTS bear, I got lucky and bought a bunch when it was trading around 9mil.  But if a BTS bull like me is bringing this up, what do you think people in other communities or anti bts people might say?  Insider trading happens everyday on wall street and many never get caught.  Its the repeat offenders that do.  If it wasn't the core dev team making the announcement I don't think it would be that big of a deal, but they have direct control over BTS until 1.0 is released.  We just saw Ross Ulbricht get life in prison for a grey list a crimes and creating a website.  Don't give someone a reason to investigate the dev's.

943
No... They sold after the announcement when the price rallied to $.008 after acquiring it lower and running up the price throughout last week.  Just a coincidence that the buyers disappear within hours after the announcement?? Ok

944
Well look at this... Giant run up in price prior to a bunch of announcements, then a small pump after the announcements by the last suckers buying, followed by a 25% dump within a day.  Sold to you...

But just remember that there was no info disseminated privately before the announcement to a privileged few...

If he issues a uia what is stopping a non Brit from acquiring the assets?  Even if he only sells them to Brits initially, those buyers can easily sell them to anyone on the asset exchange.
