Someone is dumping

Well, 15M shares can't be dumped at once so it might take a while. Plus the blog post hasnt come out yet and ethereum is being hyped again so it kind of stole the attention we were getting.

35M actually but

I cannot make up my mind which is more disturbing/disgusting:

-selling at this ridiculously low price to secure ~10 mo. of  some resemblance of development...just cause no-one is actually willing to invest in you, even at that funny low price.

-faking 28Mil market cap [by moving shares around between 'founders']

all in all, a pretty low point in crypto anyway.

PS
the irony is of course those 2 tactics are more or less complete opposite of each other... yet I have hard time deciding which one I dislike more.

Did we actually reach 28M marketcap?

I agree with you, it doesn't even make sense to dump when you could slowly get rid of them at higher prices. And everyone wants money. The more, the better so it doesn't make sense. You only accept taking less money when you're conditioned by something (time?). Dunno.

I like to try to make sense of everything but maybe some things just aren't meant to be explained lol

Would be nice if Dan could share any discussion they had in that sense,

I agree with Tuck. I believe they can complement each other. Find a way for both chains to communicate (sidechains?) and we will have the first mega ecosystem with potential to do pretty much anything in the best way possible.

Like you said, Ethereum can do some things BitShares can't and vice-versa, so they just need a way to communicate in order to complement each other, giving birth to the first super crypto ecosystem with the best versatility and performance.

The best of both worlds, in a single one, while at the same time both keep their unique identities.

This.

One could argue that it is even a woven braid of three chains the same way:  BTS - ETH - BTC playing nicely together.  BTS is the autobahn that ties them together while providing a DEX for all to use.  This could grow to include all blockchains that have something unique to offer.

Does any of CNX or Dan, assuming he does maintain contact, have the opinion of other lead devs on this, like Vitalik? What do they think about this?

We have two leading chains that would work better together, apparently. I think it would be worth having a discussion about this between both sides (BitShares and Ethereum)

The most hilarious part

"The RSCoin is deemed more likely to gain to mass acceptance than Bitcoin since the ledger would remain exclusively in the hands of the central bank, with the 'trust' factor of state authority."

Because having cryptocurrency in the hands of everyone with no one holding central power is bad. People having their own money on their pockets is bad. People need the central banks handling all of that in order to work properly. After all, it worker great so far.

latest version saying it's synchronized when it isnt

in the past it helped to check the clocktime of your computer and close all browser windows and start fresh (or are you using the lightclient?)

Lightclient. I had no problems syncing, I just had to wait. It's just that someone who isn't used to BitShares might find it confusing.

someone selling +2M bts now on polo

... and they're gone.  : )

Maybe the same person who had a 100-150btc buy wall since that one disappeared? well, we only need this to happen 5 more times to handle trust's dumps
