Don't we need a way to undo the global_settle?

Also I get the feeling that if we forcefully remove the asset from our customers that don't settle and settle for them there would not be a huge demand for my service.  We are going for decentralized aren't we.

Even if the asset issuer can exercise this control over the asset I don't think they should, and I don’t think we should advertise it.

if this is a market you already know, that the issuer will force settle you, it should be ok. we should have many options, so many parallel experiments could be run. in the end we will hit something useful and the user will come :D

General Discussion / Re: Radical ideas for liquidity

@CoinHoarder

interesting concept.

we should discuss it.

if you look from a different ankle this is so far from dilution we should rename it.

what we would doing is to give every user the possibility to go into a bitasset instantly without a counterparty, because bitshares is the counterparty. The blockchain would only "loose" if the price will fall much lower then now, at this point if everyone is settling the bitasset, the network will loose or would be diluting the share supply.

on point more. if the bitshares price is rising we would have the chance to decrease the bitshares supple, because if the network can buy his short position back, we would decrease the total supply.

it is not always 30 days, but don't worry we always count the posts from the last time.

so in december we did the payment on 24th and in january on 30th.

makes no difference on the longrun. the payment who didn't made it above 300 will be paid the next time you make it above.

you can not reuse the symbols, after the issue settled the symbol.

hopefully this can be changed, i think this is really a needed markettyp and could be a unic feature for bitshares.

- would also be good to allow "numbers" as the names for symbols.

payments for January are made!

some interesting data from our signature campaigns.

many members are still in the campaign, but their forum activity tend against zero. This month only 4 members got more then 300 BTS to recieve BTS from this campaign.

So, the campaign is still active, if you want to join take a look in the starting post and add the signature you can find on the first post.

cheers

what i love is, that anyone just post in "General" because on the subforums your posts get no attention at all.
Maybe you could bring this up on tomorrow's mumble?

would be nice, but i am not available at he mumble times, because of work. I will add this as a question. Thanks for the idea!

Why do you need CDF contracts , when you have a stablecoin?

it is a proven concept and both parties can settle any time.

at the moment the shorters are in a bad risk/reward profil i think this kind of market can attract many traders to our plattform.

is this the question thread :D ?

i would like to know if bytemaster had the time to look into my proposal to create a "Contract for Difference" or "Collaterized Tradingmarket" https://github.com/bitshares/bsips/issues/6

does my proposal need more updates?

General Discussion / Re: poll for the "1 BTS for transfer" proposal
« on: January 28, 2016, 11:06:00 pm »
i am right that the tradingfees are not going to the referrals?

i think the real problem is that, not every fee is shared with the referral.

i agree that we should not change every day something. makes no sense if we want to get more people on board.

but it is obvious that our community lack the bigger picture

"in which business are?"

i think this is the fundamental problem here.

to pay for BIPS10 is the way better approach. We are more fexible this way. I think it is or was a mistake to not consider that 1 set of transferfee would be enough.

that CNY in dollars seems to be around $1190. Giving a total of $8100.

I really never thought about the BS the committee would get after selling the assets honestly.. I thought they would be burnt. But I guess no point in doing that since sooner or later they would created again for a worker proposal...

So what do we have left?
- save it for a worker proposal? This could be used to pay abit's proposal of percentage based fees I guess. The only thing I dont like about this is people might think we have 8k worth of free worker labour and might spend it on useless stuff
- use it for liquidity.

Would it be very risky to have the committee handle that account via multi sig and use it to place buy and sell orders like a market maker? I guess that would make the problem bhuz mentioned even harder..

I think that's really the problem. Selling them is easy, but what to do with the BTS from the sale? Use them as collateral to create more bitBTC and bitUSD? That would only create one half or one third, around $2 to $3k I guess. And then sell them on the market again? And so on till there are no BTS left?

they would just circulating and maybe it will provide gaining funds or loosing some, but we would got a new market parcipiant right now.

USD   6,910
EUR   10.24
GOLD   0.00381
SILVER   3.09
CNY   7,870
BTC   0.476

ah, ok. as long as we are not creating new stuff we could use this funds.

i don't get where are these BTS are coming from?

It is the fees collected by the fee pool that we have withdrawn from the committee owned assets.  We do not currently have BTS.  We have bitassets.  Once we sell these bitassets and have BTS then we will need to decide what to do with that BTS.

you mean these 9.000 BTS ? http://cryptofresh.com/reserve holy crap! i see a huge liquidity wave coming :D

where is CMC takeing the pairs for bitshares?

i am missing METAEX.BTC pairs

They have metaexchange as a separate exchange so your pairs are not together with the rest of the exchange. Which doesn't really make sense because of OpenLedger. Every pair should count.

@rgcrypto are you in contact with them because of cryptofresh? could you handle this?

we reporting our pair directly to CMC, but not the pairs who are traded on bitshares self, so makes no sense to report them for metaexchange because they are in bitshares.
