That's good New Year's present for us all!

For those who have not voted for Matt608, please do, since you will help ensure a strong Argentina and Latin America-focused marketing campaign.

Congrats and please take the time to vote for Matts Argentina counterpart

Right now the code will simply result in a negative USD supply with no collateral.   The fall would have to be very sudden and long-lasting.   A slow fall is not a concern.

We should focus on gateways + IOUs  so the exchange has no risk.

Ok. I have  looked over your document herehttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1S-tqmfGhxS3Myy83IvZfffoYDwc5kIv1n7GhXYq937I/edit

So under such a event because of using IOU's the exchange could:

Choose not to honor IOU's
Stop trading until event is over

Am I missing any other option's a exchange might have during this kind of event?

BitShares PTS / Re: PTS vs BTS Snappshotting
« on: January 01, 2015, 04:45:21 pm »
The argument seems to boil down to is PTS a new DAC?

If I take a house and gut it, replace and remodel everything is it new? Yes and no but mostly no.It does not have a new deed or address and some items below the surface of the home are not replaced because they are fine and in good working order. It does however have more value then a home of the same style and year that has not been rebuilt.

Here's my take:

Pts was the house that I3 buit.
It was a great grand old house but over the years I3 moved. In fact I3 stayed in the same neighborhood but to a bigger nicer home called BTS.
I3 has it's hands full building and maintaining BTS. So PTS was left vacant to rot and be a eye sore to the entire neighborhood, which we will call DPOS Heights.
AlphaBar moved in and started to work on this old ugly PTS house. Now its not quite as ugly ;). It can add value to the entire neighborhood.

Would it have been easier for BTS holders to accept this if they got something sure.
Does it make BTS more valuable because it helps to showcase DPOS possible.
Do I think it will be successful project, well that depends on how you measure success but short answer is no.
Do I wish them the best of luck, absolutely :)

I was recently talking with a exchange about adding BTS and some of its market pegged assets. Adding BTS was of course a no brainier for them but the market pegged assets are a slightly trickier sell. With many 2.0's their has been a clear shift, from creating coins of different flavors to the creation of assets. Every one has a asset and we all want to explain why our asset is better then other players.

The idea that the MPA are backed by 300%bts was easy to understand and accepted by the exchange. Delegates, price feeds and the creation of the MPA's through the matching of shorts and longs were also easily understood by the exchange. The question then became, What happens to MPA's if BTS loses alot of value very quickly? How does the internal exchange handle the MPA's and how would this effect a external exchange that allows trading of these pairs?

Or am I completely off the mark and should be pushing a exchange to use UIA to trade IOU's of our MPA's? Thought's?

Do you plan to act as a fiat gateway at all or are you only interested in crypto to crypto transfers?

What??  Not one person bitching and moaning?   It almost like all these people from all over the world have a unifying goal and shared vision.  That shit is powerful.

Well done everyone.  2015 is going to be epic.

Just wait for it.....

You mentioned trying to be more efficient in 2015, did you feel like you weren't efficient in 2014? What do you plan to do differently in 2015?

Guys please keep this in mind, from their TOS

3. The Exchange Service.
3.1. No exchange service for the US customers. We cannot offer our service to the US residents or anyone geographically located in the US. Accordingly any attempts to exchange cryptocurrency from a US based IP address will be blocked. We apologize for the inconvenience.

3.2. Transactions with HolyTransaction. When buying or selling cryptocurrency through the Exchange Service, you are buying from, or selling to, HolyTransaction directly. HolyTransaction does not act as an intermediary or marketplace between other buyers and sellers of cryptocurrency. The Exchange Service is subject to the HolyTransaction "Exchange Rate." "Exchange Rate" means the liquidity adjusted price of a given cryptocurrency amount in terms of currency or cryptocurrency as quoted on the HolyTransaction Site. For the purpose of any transaction which incorporates the Exchange Rate, you agree, as a condition of using any HolyTransaction Services, to accept the Exchange Rate as the sole conversion metric.

3.3. Cryptocurrency Exchange. Once you have successfully completed required verification steps, you may exchange among cryptocurrencies supported by HolyTransactoin (subject to applicable transaction limits). HolyTransaction will deduct specified amount of cryptocurrency that you are selling from your HolyTransaction Account. In most cases exchange transactions will be executed immediately. If HolyTransaction does not have requested funds available, it may take some time to execute transaction. Amount of time depends on transaction size. Once your cruptocurrency exchange reqest is submited with your HolyTransaction Account, such transaction cannot be cancelled, reversed or changed. HolyTransaction will use good faith efforts to fulfill any exchange request with the Exchange Rate quoted on the HolyTransaction website at the time of order placement.

What I find odd is that their contact info is based in the US????

Just like btc has been of late I feel like we are going to have to fall in order to rebound.

TBH I am mostly fiat right now because I believe its going to take a dump  (btc/bts) before the market will allow it to go up.

You mean bitFiat, right? ;)

lol I like the way you think.

Have you partnered with a bank yet? If yes which one and will they allow deposits from customers anywhere in the world?
