Use the withdraw tab.  Select Openledger and withdraw open.eth.

General Discussion / Smart Coins - Where are we headed?
« on: December 14, 2017, 04:20:03 am »
I have been thinking about Smart Coins lately and wondering where do we draw the line between utilizing these or pushing businesses to issue UIA's?  At the moment we only have a few that overlap, for example bitBTC and open.BTC.

Why are we not adding more such as bitOIL, bitDowJones, bitXYZ Stock, to attract traders interested in futures beyond FX markets?  Some of these may require private $ price feeds however most should have pretty solid publicly available price feeds.

Why not have bitLTC or any of the other top 20 tokens?  We are an exchange are we not?  Sure they will have to transfer to BTS if there are not any gateways, however what comes first the chicken or the egg?

What is the latest feedback on this?  Positive, negative, no impact?  This was an important experiment as I believe all BitAssets should have the same parameters.  New traders will expect this and may become frustrated not knowing BitAssets all have different settlement parameters.

The draft proposal is very well detailed and thought out.  Especially the payment terms bring credibility: "The received funds will be held in escrow by the Bitshares Foundation, and released at successful delivery of milestones."

-Has any software already started being coded?
-When will the worker proposal be created?

I think the principle rule should be make SILVER worth 1 SIVLER.
you make SILVER worth x4, it's the same wrong to make it /4,
but obviously the share holders don't care about it.
this is why I quit.
enjoy your fun.

Not every share holder understands all the technical aspects around the BitShares project.  Not everyone will agree on all paths forward however the intention of this BSIP was positive for BitShares.  Companies make decisions like this all the time, trade off's, opportunity costs, are all part of growing an ecosystem.

Why quit when BitShares and the blockchain space is finally coming alive?  You have been a dedicated member to the community, we all appreciate your help and feedback.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: proposal to create bitXCD
« on: December 12, 2017, 09:53:21 pm »
Great news, thanks for sharing.

In regards to backing it with BitUSD, what happens if the 1USD=2.7XCD rate is changed or abolished completely?  How quickly can BitShares react?  What would be the procedure to do so?

Perhaps it is best to keep it separate in case some issue arises with the bitUSD market.  This would isolate any major bugs/issues/etc... if something were to happen, not causing a cascade effect.

General Discussion / Re: Bitshares.org GUI Update
« on: December 09, 2017, 07:08:25 pm »
Also the lag is bad.. need better nodes?

yes. ask @bitcrab why he sees no value in the infrastructure worker
Lag is bad. "Your active node ot of sync" this message is on my screen every minute(or a few minutes).

This needs to be addressed ASAP. First impressions are key...

The worker finally got voted in, https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,25291.0.html.  This should help with any network issues.

83
Worker is voted in.  Please keep us updated on what is being done to achieve the goal.

Any update with Bittrix?  Last update was 19 days ago on Steem: https://steemit.com/bitshares/@bitshares.fdn/the-contacts-with-bittrex-and-its-legal-counsel-are-moving-forward

Having BTS relisted would help spread awareness especially when this market is red hot.

85
With the worker being voted in, any updates or plans on the next steps?

86
What is the reasoning not to vote for this?  With growing popularity, this makes sense to make sure the network is accessible to all during this phase.

Random Discussion / Re: BitShares Freeroll Poker Site
« on: December 03, 2017, 02:38:04 am »
Would be great to see this working on the BitShares blockchain however not sure how to market it to actually attract users?  How has the reception been with steem users?

@CoinHoarder

Wouldn't BTS (along with other chains) migrating to EOS solve all the issues you point out?  2018 should start to see real businesses building real APPS on existing chains, just like virtual machines on the same hardware.  EOS can make this a reality.

General Discussion / Re: Poloniex withdraw issue cause as bad reputation
« on: November 20, 2017, 09:13:13 am »
https://steemit.com/bitshares/@bitshares.fdn/technical-issue-poloniex-with-bts

BitShares foundation has already tried contacting Poloniex, it's up to Poloniex to accept the assistance.

90
Any communication with Poloniex on BTS being "under maintenance?"
