Its simply another Dan makes a obtuse theoretical assumption that never stands up to rigor when fully implemented.
I understand your worrier.
There is no reason to do that, and there are too many unfirmed problem to find out. It is just another asumption, and seems to fail and waist money and time.

I am a product manager in a leading O2O company in China.
I have some experience in system planning and design, and a little experience in business.

General Discussion / Problem of bitshares community is too many choise
« on: November 03, 2015, 02:10:36 am »
There is alway argue in the community, not just because of the price drop.

It is also because there is too many choises. Such as brownie and bts take the community into two part.
When there is another choise, then there is a group to argue for their interest.

The choise of bitcoin is less, and their community can do only one thing: making bitcoin success.

I also think the fees for brownies should be negative!

This way BTS can have one more way of bleeding money into them sweet brownies.
It is joke.
If i have the so called brownies, i will just tranfer and trade to myself, and get all the bts.

And it is not fair how brownies was dividend.
I have no interest in it, and some others oboject it.

This is exactly what nxt's multi-gateway do.
But nxt's is not that smooth. Sometimes you have to wait more than a day after deposit. If we can do better, then it will be really useful.

OpenLedger / Re: CCEDK now 10% of all BTS trade volume
« on: November 01, 2015, 02:22:15 am »
i will use it too, if it has good market deep and can withdraw\deposit in the DEX.
Now i use poloniex, mainly because i have an account there and it has good market deep. CCEDK do not have any of that for me.

General Discussion / Re: IOTA + Bitshares

PS - this is why I also like Siacoin so much because Sia is building a similar marketplace for the cloud storage industry. Sorry for trying to sell your another coin. :)

I "studied" SIA a lot and I can understand your excitement. I have many times dreamed bts2.0 will somehow collaborate with SIA ...  (I think they have more potential than Storj and Maidsafe)
Why do you think sia have more potential than storj and maidsafe?

Storj seems make good progress.

Maidsafe seems doing things more similiar to Iota.

If there is no mining, how can the node benifit from runing a pow node?
Benefit comes from ability to send transactions.

Basiclly, can you tell how many roles there and how they act and why they join.
One role. Cooperation with peers gives benefits to every participant, this is why they will join.

the motivation for parties to run the nodes is to be able to enjoy a free and efficient marketplace. The parties either have lots of data available to sell or want to buy lots of data or both. But they can't trade their data without Iota because it is either too expensive to trade these kind data in a regular market or there is no place to trade at all. Therefore, the parties will waste their data (income resources) if they don't participate (running nodes because they need to stay online all time to look for trading partners) in a marketplace enabled by Iota. That is  the motivation, namely the opportunity to make profit and money.  It is the ultimate motivation for business activities.

A not very good analogy is uber and airbab markets. Before uber and airbab, those individuals who participate in uber and airbnb could not have the opportunities to offer their services to other people to make money for themselves because there either no such kind market or too expernsive for them to offer their service in the old marketplace. But with the marketplaces enabled by uber and airbnb they can.

Thanks for answering.
So Iota may be suitable for resources like  music, books or bandwidth.
And how Iota help with intermet of things? Such as a teethbruch can connect to the internet, and collect and analysis my teech health. How can Iota help in this process?

Ps: I know sia, and I am a stake holder of sia. (Not the coin, but the note)

Or we focus on UIA or gateway assets, such as trade.btc, ccdek.usd, ripple USD.

General Discussion / Reason for lack of liquidity in the DEX
« on: October 31, 2015, 03:46:57 am »
Support of BTS price is the pegged assets like CNY\USD\bitBTC. Their buy orders is the index of the price in the decentralized exchange.

And CNY\USD can only be borrowed from system by speculators.  if BTS is not low enough to make sure a huge profit , we will never be willing to risk to borrow CNY\USD to place buy orders. So this is why there is a huge gap in the order book.

We need another source of pegged asset liquidity.
For example,  the system buy some amount of BTS, and give seller CNY\USD.  It is like the national debt in real world. A problem is how can we make the asset amount controlled,  make sure them pegged.

General Discussion / Re: Ethereum price discussion
« on: October 30, 2015, 01:09:30 pm »
When do you guys Bitshares will be pumped? In my personal opinion Bitshares is allot more stable than Ethereum and that's why I bought some and sold my Ethereum. Any new developments coming out with Bitshares that will effect the price?
i do not think new feature will help much. We would be better to do some optimise now, such as make the market operational and charge fiat easier.
