Bitspark [closed] / Why did Bitspark close ?
« on: February 07, 2020, 12:38:51 am »
Was it due to "Regulation" ? Of course it was. But they are probably not allowed to admit this.
It is sad to see a very promising project getting shut down.

It’s impossible to measure how much the KYC / AML rules cost us. We will never know how many innovative products and solutions have been destroyed in the bud because they did not or could not afford the current compliance regime.

BEOS / Re: BitShares EOS (BEOS) Launches - Get Yours
« on: December 27, 2019, 07:41:05 pm »
Hi everyone !

After a few months, I see no activity on the BEOS blockchain.
In the meanwhile, BItshares itself is thriving, even if it's value has dropped considerably.

Do I get something wrong, or has BEOS just not taken off yet?

Perhaps the airdrop should be repeated in a new way, or make a snapshot of all BTS balances, and combine with existing balances, so all those who missed out can get another chance for a real BitShares 3.0

Considering the different habits of everyone, I feel that the existing wallets can be directly integrated with the hardware wallet. That way the user's choice is more free. There is no need to develop a new wallet separately.

Agreed.

Openledger / Re: Deposits and withdrawals in Openledger

I don't see any transferrals from their wallet during the time spam from 24 hours ago till 2 hours ago. Now they are taking it up again. There's a good chance they are working on the backlog now.

The split is a political move to propagate segwit. The goal is, to make it appear to you as if the two possible choices are Segwit or the BCH hardfork, which in the end will lead to people congregating at segwit because they don't want to invest in a spin-off.

You can move ETH and trade ETH/EOS on the ETH platform.

Openledger / OPEN.USDT deposit/withdraw
« on: August 01, 2017, 09:46:47 am »
There are lots of USDT on the order books but they can't be deposited or withdrawn right now.
When will the deposit/withdrawal service be resumed?

Edit: I eventually found the related news. https://blog.openledger.info/2017/07/25/openledger-exchange-news-omni-btc-gateways-will-be-turned-off/

General Discussion / Re: The Fork??
« on: July 22, 2017, 07:28:44 pm »
Those repeated attempts to fork Bitcoin are madness. The proposal for the safest possible solution would be:

a) No BTC other than the ones compatible with the original, classic, conservative blockchain should be accepted
and
b) All BTC sent out should be fully compatible with the original, classic, conservative client. This would also ensure they are compatible with every possible fork, if it is a true fork and not an altcoin.

Any objections ?

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Best MUSIC DAC launch model for 2014?
« on: October 02, 2014, 09:59:07 am »
I think 30/30/10/30 or 25/25/10/40 allocation is good.

And since the pre-sale will be built into the genesis block of a blockchain, It has to be a rather stable satoshi-style coin with large market cap - such as BTC or perhaps LTC - everything else (BitUSD / DOGE / etc.) will create unnecessary trouble - so let's stick with Bitcoin here.

I suppose, late investors can still buy Notes on BTER after the launch.

Disclaimer: I'm PTS holder but plan to join the pre-sale, too.

Technical Support / Re: !!! Stupid Questions Thread !!!

I'm still confused as to how the person who owns PTS will profit?

10% of Bitshares Music will be distributed to PTS holders - there will be taken a snapshot of the PTS blockchain at a time that will get previously announced.
It's advisable that, especially on that particular day, you hold them in your own wallet because you'll need the private key. Otherwise you never know how your exchange will handle this.
