Consider your account vested. Ideally the MUSE team should make the faucet handle this.

Technical Support / Re: How to claim balance?
« on: December 31, 2017, 04:12:26 pm »
If anyone here needs help trying to reclaim old stake, PM me here or on telegram @robrigo and I can help you for a service fee. Thanks and good luck. :)

Try doing this with the account it finds the keys are tied to. So register the account name you greyed out on Bitshares 2.0 and then try the import again and see if it works.

surely we cannot expect volunteers to do the needed development just for free, we need to pay for valuable work, especially when capitals are looking for blockchain relevant developers with high salary all around the world.

I think alt's project and ICOWALLET's plan do worth worker proposals, so if necessary, do not hesitate to apply one, it will help the community to be aware and trace what you do.

I finally decided to vote up this worker. I know it is not perfect, but we need it.

Thank you for your approval bitcrab. I am glad we are finally spending to fund development and would happily support alt and icowallet worker as well.

I support the bounty program. Lets get this proposal approved!

You can use to import your 0.9.3c JSON wallets into the MUSE chain.

It doesn't work if you send less than the gate fee of 20 OPEN.MUSE. An issue has been filed:

Fully supported. This is awesome!

July Witness Update

Witness performace:

As a reminder from @abit to reduce RAM usage for witness nodes, set these parameters in config.ini (since version 2.0.170531)
Code: [Select]
track-account = "1.2.1"
partial-operations = true
The witness RAM requirements are now under 2GB RAM.

Full Node:

The node was completely updated over the weekend. Additional parameters in config.ini (since version 2.0.170606) set to:

Code: [Select]
[code]partial-operations = true
max-ops-per-account = 1000

In the Peerplays telegram channel few days ago JB mentioned that Poloniex complained about the memory usage on their BitShares Full Node. I am not sure if this continues to be an issue (I would think that they should be able to afford a decent server to run BTS) but once again they are displaying their " BTS is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the BTS team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling." banner. As you can see from my snapshot above the Full Node runs at about 27.4GB RAM. As we continue to grow and with the latest mods to decrease the memory usage on witnesses, the Full nodes will have to do the heavy lifting for the infrastructure.

Haven't stopped into the referral system so far. With your own faucet you become the default registrar/referer for account create/upgrade, if there's no LTM account (or enough funds?) present in the wallets that uses your node to interface with the blockchain?
For the moment I have not switched to my own faucet. I use the OL's atm.  Setting up a faucet is on my to do list.

Witnesses aside, If the above is true, couldn't we use committee or worker proposals as a temporal fix by choosing full nodes to be included in upcoming light-wallet and releases?
I have already created an update to bitshares-ui on github for this. All new wallets should include the API access for my node. Some web wallets (OL) take only select updates and might not have it included.

Would that be incentive enough to run public full nodes and web wallets without running a business nor marketing, just the required infrastructure?
There is no incentive for it. For now only gateways really need them. But we definitely need more to provide a better experience for the users.

Last month there were no takers for my 1K BTS giveaway. So here is another chance:
1. You have voted for my witness: sahkan-bitshares and kept your vote through at least 31 July 2017.
2. Giveaway runs through 31 JUL 2017
3. Be the FIRST to post below: "I'LL TAKE THE 1,000BTS!" and PM me your BTS account name.
4. I will send your BTS sometime during the first week of August.
5. If you are using a Proxy and the Proxy is voting on my witness you are eligible!
5. :) Good Luck!

Have a great BitShares July!

Hey sahkan... I thought I was voting for you but I forgot to publish changes. Anyways I am now and... I'll take the BTS! :)

Can anyone advise the best way to go from OPEN.MUSE to MUSE? I'm not sure where the find the trading pair.

MUSE has its own blockchain. You can withdraw your OPEN.MUSE to an account on the MUSE blockchain. Faucet and API node for the MUSE chain are currently under maintenance but should be available soon. Only the funds in your account on the current MUSE blockchain will be moved into the genesis block of the new MUSE blockchain that is currently being developed.

Is there any more information on when this snapshot is taking place?

AFAIK the snapshot date has not been announced yet.

Thanks @pc! I figured out how to go from OPEN.MUSE to MUSE as well for anyone else that is interested. It doesn't appear in the "Deposit / Withdraw" tab of the BitShares 2 light wallet; instead you have to go to Openledger and find MUSE in the "simple" view (not the advanced view, which is similar to the thick wallet).  There you will see links to Deposit / Withdraw.

MUSE will move to a new chain soon. You MUST move your funds to your own wallet.

Taken from muse slack, May 22nd (emphasis added):

6:59 PM @ estefantt We are spread too thin to touch the current Muse chain. The new Muse chain’s genesis block will take into account only the MUSE people have in their possession AND the MUSE that was purchased using BTC that is still unclaimed. So:
1. Muse balance
2. unclaimed BTC pre-sale MUSE
Anything done via openledger is beyond our control. Perhaps someone from the bitshares community can assist you?
7:00 Phase 1 is the crypto centric Front end.
It will only allow people to create their MuseID, claim their stake, buy, sell, transfer
7:01 Phase 2 will be the UI that allows the musician to upload his metadata. This front end will be for the music world. This can release pretty fast since all features are on the back end already.
7:02 So any early bugs will be captured by the tech-savvy early adopters. during phase 1.
Then when phase 2 releases, the music world will have an easier time since most low hanging bugs will have been ironed out.

Is there any more information on when this snapshot is taking place?

Aha, you were right fluxer. Here is the link to the MUSE wallet:

I can't remember... maybe there was a MUSE wallet release for these purposes a while back actually. I'll ask Ronny about it.

I don't think they have released the wallet yet fluxer. I'm holding OPEN.MUSE (which is trading in the bitshares wallet).
