I don't think they are planning to have their own token Fuz, unless you know something we don't.  ;D

I agree that some of the FMV vesting stake could be used strategically in the short term to form strategic partnerships. Adam has already pledged 1M of it will be used toward non-FMV ventures that will benefit BTS directly. Maybe we can request that he bumps this amount up to 10M?

Meeting Adam in Blacksburg over the past week, I saw first hand that he is working diligently on integrating non FMV projects that aim to grow the BitShares userbase as well. The forums are a small glimpse into what is really going on behind the scenes, and I say this well knowing that the "just wait for it" play is notoriously a Brian Page move.  We've seen a delegate proposal for one of these partnerships already... FreebieServers.

NewMine is onto something in that we need to reach out all of our tentacles and build strategic partnerships with potential business partners and ideologically aligned groups. Members of the BTS community can start today! We can draft reusable, templated letters to send out to these potential partners and share them with each other. Of course, dropping a load of stake on some high roller partner would be a great way to get them on board. But should we not at least introduce ourselves to these potentials first, and see which ones bite?

FollowMyVote is a long term play, and I think that Adam has the grit and tenacity to make in roads here as we've seen with the Pirate Party partnership. I think it would be a shame for the community to abandon support for such a great opportunity, even if it will take some time to grow to fruition.

"4. More videos, especially interviews. Does anybody know any vloggers or podcasters? That is super effective!"

P2P tour has had some connection with Arthur from Bitcoins and Gravy podcast.

Does anyone here still have a relationship with Adam B Levine also?

@bitscape @roadscape @kencode

Arthur, yes. We wanted to talk with him about Moonstone and another project too actually. We should set something up within the next 2 weeks.
If you could publish some code or a working alpha version .. that would GREATLY impact your fundraising BTW ..

We're thinking about setting up a dummy wallet with just the Angular app without the transaction builder or access to the blockchain, just so the community can get the feel for it. Do you think that would help?

We could set that u by Thursday/Friday with dummy data.

Hi Taulant,

Can you talk more about the transaction builder you are making and how it is different from the core builder? What limitations led you to make a new one? Is the code available anywhere?

General Discussion / Re: Bitshares Europe - what can we do?
« on: April 09, 2015, 02:10:12 pm »
Hey ronald. Glad you want to help the project! Reaching out to the circles you've mentioned to give presentations about bitshares concepts and innovations, educate businesses about the utility of bitshares adoption, entrepreneurs about the opportunity of leveraging the assets on the platform, and/or talk to people about the investment opportunity that bitshares represents.

Have you given any thought to creating a BitShares meetup on meetup.com? We are slowly growing our mindshare but representation in Europe is needed.

I also care.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Etienne, 38 years old, father of 2. I'm a  programmer-designer and have been involved as of lately with the Bitcoin Association at Buenos Aires.
I participated in several talks at their meetups, and together with fran2k & ElMato from this forum, and many other collaborators, we are constantly pushing forward BitShares here in Buenos Aires.

I can personally atest to the ongoing non-stop coding by ElMato, so please be patient. He is on it 100%.
I can also atest to all the energy being put to gather more and more people to our bitshares meetups, to giving bitUSD's away to attendees while instructing them on platforms, wallets and other important data surrounding the bitshares phenomenon.

We are building a community and we are loving it!

BitShares embassy No.1 :)  +5%

Do the guys in Buenos Aires have a meetup.com page?

By adding "BitShares" to the meetup page's list of topics under "Group Settings", it will show up on http://bitshares.meetup.com

IMO the DNS stuff should be done properly, and that takes time. If we rush out a half-baked solution we'll regret it later.

But you are right insofar as there doesn't seem to be any development on that front, and we should get this moving. What has become of Indolering's excellent proposal?

Talked to devs about this, and you are pretty much spot on. I think the intent is lay down some foundational work to leverage such as turing complete scripting to build DNS functionality correctly. Thom's point is also correct; figuring out a methodology that will be attractive- i.e. predictable, is the key to DNS. The auction system doesn't fulfill this as he pointed out.

At any rate I asked @indolering to comment on this thread to give us an update about launching his delegates.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Developer delegate: dev.bitsharesblocks

Love the site svk! Right now I'm seeing a redirect loop when I visit bitsharesblocks.com. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Wait, they have internet in the wilds of VA? Isn't there a sheep that needs sheering or some moonshine you could be drinking? :)

Haha we were on the 81 heading south and I was using the magic that is wireless tethering. But I could really go for some 'shine and sheep right about now...  8)

Hey jz. Check out this page for recovering funds: http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/RecoveringFunds

Especially the wallet_regenerate_keys command. That seems to do the trick a lot of the time.

Gentso1 and I will be there for sure. Anyone else in the community close enough to Philly to come out and play? You might be part of their film (if you want to be).

Where?
When?
Who?

See ya there.  8)
