LOL this is seriously hilarious...props man.

Do bitshare holders benefit from hero?

Yes, minimum 1.75x the value of HERO is required to be "locked up" as BTS collateral. So basically every HERO that exists is backed up by approximately 2x the value in BTS, which is then locked and can't be sold. This creates a supply constraint that ultimately results in a higher price per BitShare.

Digital launch, High Rise and the third one are working on the Hero campaign, which AFAIK is a private project, funded by Stan/cryptonomex, with no deadlines and progress updates. Stan stopped talking about it several weeks ago and nobody really knows if it is still on. I know that he doesn't owe me anything and I am in no position to demand reports and updates but it would be really helpful if he commented on this thread's topic

Agree, these guys aren't being all that transparent right now........but per Michael just a few days ago: "Don't worry, hero starting soon"  ;D

It's coming.

lol guys, BTS currently has FOUR, count them, FOUR professional marketing teams hired. Let's go through the list:

 - High Rise Elite Marketing
 - Digital Launch
 - "Then you should see the other third of our team...." - Stan, alluding to a THIRD marketing team
 - BTS Chinese marketing assault that's currently ongoing (Zicen and team "hired" by the blockchain)

So uhh....yea...things are about to get pretty hot and heavy up in here. Hope your bags are filled.  ;)

lol nice, we need to get some cross-promotion going on with them. That's one way to enter the Korean market!

mf-tzo, are you on telegram at all? That's where everyone's hanging out nowadays.

Then we are left with the Chinese exchanges - what then?

Uhhh....what Chinese exchanges? Other than BTC38, they're gone too.

Wish they still had the trollbox open, so we could at least pester them about it there. That was basically the last line of communication to them. Starting to feel like the real reason it was closed was to stop people from asking too many questions...........

  ::)

At this point I'd be more surprised if polo didn't cut and run with everyone's money...

We are losing market shares to the competition because of imminent problems in the reference Client.
A single GUI server may be not be scalable enough to support thousands of users right now but we have more urgent tasks to address in the current reference client where people are complaining daily about UX problems and bugs.
Working on these important issues is not blocking anyone from coming up with a completely new and better GUI but at least in the western hemisphere we only have the reference GUI right now.

And besides the actual work, new and existing shareholders do want to see actual progress on the reference wallet and have a team of developers constantly improving BitShares and the reference Client is what most users do see when they come try BitShares.

vote for adoption, vote for growth, vote for BitShares

BTS may have just bottomed out.  All the problems with the chain going down and halting of activity, yet the price is starting to rally.  This is a classic pattern that frequently happens with stocks.  When something fails to go down on bad news, it often means the selling is over.

Whoa whoa, this is huge. lil_jay890 being slightly bullish!

Interesting times...  :P

(Not just yanking your chain btw, I've always appreciated your input over the years.)

Here's hoping.  +5%

Up over $5 billion now. Looks like Yunbi's driving a ton of it though, they have nearly $600 million (81%) of the volume.

Just wow.

While I agree the project is probably worth its current cap and may eventually take over ETH some day...it doesn't change the fact that its opening price leaves very little room for growth. I mean, taking over ETH is not going to be that easy -- and if it actually manages to do that, the gain for current investors is 26x. Which is nice, but certainly not lambo territory heh.

And again, the price is entirely fueled by speculation right now. EOS won't be live for a year, possibly longer. A lot can change in that time. Just feels like the risk:reward isn't worth it right now. When hype dies down in a few months and the market grows impatient, that will be the time to buy some IMO.

I also don't think Dan's in it just for the money BTW -- but I'm pretty sure he found the optimal way to extract the most value from an ICO possible, hah.

Man, these crypto "investors" are throwing millions without even thinking to every ICO, regardless if it is a plausible project or just blahblah talking. Crypto developers have no motivation to work at all, because they don't need to work to become rich.  Just collect money and retire. Larimer will be stupid if he don't do this :)

Yup. $180MM thrown at *20%* of something that's still a year out, hasn't been proven to work, and will be "inflating" by $1.8 million every 23 hours for the next year.

I'm in disbelief.

Duuude, it's method-x! What's up bro?

Wait until a later window to buy in, after hype has died down. I too think it's massively overvalued right now.

...the day when BitShares get's all the bored customers of Poloniex ;-)

We even have a trollbox! Polo can't say that.  :P
