Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Muse decimal point
« on: January 01, 2018, 08:41:23 pm »
1.  The number of MUSE decreased to 1% of the original
2.  https://openledger.io/market/OPEN.MUSEOL_BTS
     https://market.rudex.org/#/market/RUDEX.MUSE_BTS
3.  Please continue to pay attention, I think the breakthrough will appear in 2018
4.  Of course, I'd rather you sell MUSE, because I want to buy something cheap :P :P :P

How do I convert from OPEN.MUSE to OPEN.MUSEOL?
I've been holding OPENMUSE and see I can convert to OPEN.MUSE but not to OPEN.MUSEOL.
So dont see how I can trade.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I have not yet claimed any NOTES/MUSE from angelshares/protoshares etc.
How would I go about claiming this.

1. Investors holding OPEN.MUSE will automatically receive a corresponding share of OPEN.MUSEOL, and do not need to do anything
2. With OPENMUSE investors, I don't know if I can receive the corresponding OPEN.MUSEOL automatically. I suggest that you contact openledger actively.
3. You can use the private key of PTS+AGS to directly claim your MUSE
Thank you for your response.
I have filed a support ticket regarding the matter with Openledger.

General Discussion / Re: Where is BitShares headed?

Something GChicken said on another thread today:

I honestly see Bitshares as a combination of killer features (scale-ability, speed, governance, flexibility, MPAs(Market Pegged Assets), UIAs(User Issued Assets), Stable-coins, prediction markets) in a world where its competitors individually can only compete on one or two items. But the rest of the world doesn't share my opinion through lack of visibility, education and maybe a marketing issue. i know personally when i get someone to actually try the platform they are blown away, this is not your run of the mill cloned bitcoin wallet; they maybe a little set back at first as it can be a lot to take in, but in general the recognise the functionality and point of differance.

Do y'all  think Bitshares might benefit from a little brand segregation? Nothing about the project needs to fundamentally change and I am not suggesting that we rebrand the core project, but would we make more headway if niche features were represented as new and novel on a new website with a new brand? Obviously it would take a team to implement, but I am thinking a bitshares version of Augur. Augur is built on ethereum, but maintains its own identity. The Bitshares prediction market is built into Bitshares we just need a unique name and a site dedicated just to it, kinda like Openledger does for the exchange aspects. I understand OL has an interface with the prediction market, but let's be honest...  This way we can be clear and focused in our promotion of the platform. Go here for a DEX and here for a decentralized prediction market kinda thing.

Also at the moment the prediction market allows the market creator to decide who wins, may I respectfully say I like Augur's solution much more... we kinda need to address that.
A great opportunity for a keen entrepreneur to jump on  :)
The projects are opensource and very free. If you see an opportunity, go for it. The space is still very new so there are many opportunities. It wont be like that forever.

Thats cool. Is this work being done by Openledger or Graphene?

welcome aboard.

Here is a thread where people are mentioning some of the issues we are having:

Graphene 2.0?

Doesn't serve to improve the bitshares exchange.
Yes, I agree. Improvements could be made to the browser wallet to improve user friendliness.

What would be some of the security drawbacks? A centralized entity is trusted not to loose your wallet files incase you loose them.

Is SVK not on DPOS payroll? If not, and if he wants, he should be. There is a ton to be done!

Technical Support / Re: Failed to sync with the API server

When cloning the github and running the client on a local host:
The client is very slow in general
The exchange is non functional (just shows as loading continuously).

Tried connecting to different servers.
Is there any way to fix this so that testing can be done locally.
Running on local host works fine for me, can't really help you without more info here.

It will be slower than a production build though that's inevitable due to debugging etc.
It did work at one point and then just stopped. Tried different computers, internet connections etc.
Will keep trying.

Technical Support / Re: Is it possible to destroy some of your UIA?
« on: August 09, 2016, 03:06:14 pm »
My understanding is that you would also need to keep your option open to change the supply of your UIA.
By default this option is left open when creating or editing your UIA.

Technically, the "issuer" can change max supply anytime and reissue shares that have been "reserved"/burned.
However, the issuer of BTS is the null-account. That means that no one can reissue shares that have been burned.
And all the blockchain can possibly reissue (through worker and witness pay) is up to the max supply. No one can change the max supply of BTS

A clarification on using "reserve asset"

If you perform this action and burn your UIA taking it out of circulation, can you then re-issue it later?  Or does it just mean that  your maximum supply has dropped by the burned amount.

Example:

ABC token has max supply of 500,000.  I burn 100,000.  Can I re-issue the 100,000 burned or does my ABC token effectively now have a max suppy of 400,000

Thanks

General Discussion / Where was that budget doc on AGS donations
« on: August 09, 2016, 03:03:34 pm »
I believe there was a budget document/page published somewhere about what was funded, donations received, VC received etc.
Struggling to find this.

I am looking to use it to try and work out a tangible value for the work completed thus far.

The fees are not transfered to the issuer instead they are accumulated and waiting for the issuer to actually claim them .. while they wait, they are out of circulation and can be seen by everyone
Would it be possible though, to have an option where they are not accumulated but simply destroyed. So that they do not have to be claimed by anyone?

Coming back to this.
I see that the 'reserve' function allows you to manually destroy some of your UIA.
However would it be possible to set up your UIA so that the fee charged for the trade of the UIA is automatically burned.

So the fee would not be transferred to the account who created the UIA but would simply be destroyed.

If such a feature does not exist, would it be possible for such a feature to be coded into Bitshares in the future? It would be a much cleaner way to implement fees under certain circumstances.

Looking cool.
I got as far as 'fill out order information' and then the english writing stopped haha.
I am assuming the middle option is the WeChat payment?

bridge where people can buy bitCNY or bitUSD
You don't need a bridge for that ... it's a pair in the dex that only needs some liquidity
I mean a something where you can send money from your WeChat or Alipay account to another WeChat or Alipay account (with say your bitshares account name as a memo) and it will credit your bitshares account.

This would allow for easy on boarding in China as almost everyone has funds in WeChat.

It shouldnt be difficult to implement but I believe there are regulations making this difficult.
