Why can't we just do 3rd party drops to BTS? PTS is pretty much dead as no miners are mining it anymore. It would also be nice because you would give the new blood coming in a chance instead of locking it to a small group of people. By dropping shares into BTS you will get wider distribution so more users. I really do not see the point in giving away shares to a defunct system that is owned largely by early adopters.

*Not trying to be disrespectful to the "early adopters" but I think we are all early adopters, and I think that by just sticking to BTS for share drops it will do 2 things

1) Bigger userbase and testers for your new 3rd party DAC which means less hoarding by just a few individuals.
2) Eliminates the confusion to new users and will give the new "early adopters" a chance to get in on the action.

Just my personal opinion :)

U mean expand the number of shares for new snapshot on bts?

erm.. why?.. Surely the point of the new DACs' interest in honoring anything, is having the wider community embrace it?
Surely it's better just to keep it simple and honor BTS, as that will be where the majority of people will be, both new and old?

But it's kind of cool to have a thing people can purchase to "buy into the idea of the DAC." That's part of why I liked PTS from the beginning. I support keeping PTS alive, and it confuses me when people argue against it. Some people seem to think that having PTS continue would somehow detract from the bitshares ecosystem... if anything, I believe it has the potential to make it even more dynamic.

Yeh.  What this guy says

OP has been so badly deceived in so many ways and on so many levels that I wouldn't know where to begin his disillusionment process.

On the other hand, having any discussion at all with a person who's mind frame is trapped within a framework of partisan politics and parties to begin with .... there is little use presenting any economic realities to him.

Since we are fast approaching Remembrance Day, suffice it to say that he reminds me of the (un)thinking lemmings in the 1st World War who charged into machine gun fire ostensibly for their kin and country but in fact, because they were too lazy and uncritical, for  the profit of another Banker's War. Am I going to celebrate those brain-dead idiots by glorifying their "exploits"? Yeah, right. Go peddle your poppies to today's zombies.

There are better ways to spend your time. Be thankful he is here complaining as opposed to doing something more destructive with his ignorance.

I have news for you.  There is no such thing as republican or democrat.  It is all an illusion.   As for using the word racism...when people use this crap it just means they want to win an argument without substantive points.

Abuse of power is getting out of hand.  They are simply going after the working class who have no option but to re open their business at any expense to make a living.  Easy targets, easy money.

Another reason to crush the growth of crypto currency.

Lol. Money.  Who created irs?  they want to own the world. Rune wants bitshares to own the world.  Julian1 wants to force international banking cartels to compete.  Lollololllol.....Profit off the sheep.  Yum baaaaah

Rune want profit

Who cares if rune make you the king? If the sheep flock to you, take their fur!

We only need profit. If sheep too cold for winter, the wolves have a easy job.  Yum..rune will own this community if you like or not. Method is making a facebook! use mumble for secret...baaaah baaaaah. Sheep so tasty! Time to eat!  Some sheep been here a long time. Baaaa baaaah

Justcoin is shutting down, citing banking issues.  Would it be possible to use the bitUSD as the backend for a centralized exchange?  Liberating the exchanges from banks would make it easier to run an exchange by orders of magnitude.
so..

How close are we to having fluid ways in/out of bitUSD?
Is the Bitshares platform ready for such a usage case?
if not how soon?

LOL..US loses world power status cause of corruption stifle innovation! Welcome to mexico!

Proof of Solvency, but a centralized exchange would cost quite a bit of money to set up due to the recent FinCen announcements.

Only in the US.

Um...thanks to newmine I have my eyes on that thread too (though he is incorrect that it has the exact same purpose).   Sorry if people think this is a waste of time.  This is actually proving pretty helpful to me.     ::)

Sorry i just dont really care if someone is good or trusted if they make me money i only care about that.  If you want something else you are a sucker.  Sorry if it sounds mean.  Dont be a sucker.

Time for bed.  Too much posting already for a day

DevShares / Re: new blockchain "DevShares"

Devshares will make devs very happy.  That is good for anyone.

I think we will find out truth someday.  The truth can only hide for awhile before it comes out of the closet...

86
Making more bitdollar is like temporary burns of btsx.  Do delegatea burns increase value of the btsx left?

That will make your answer...

Newmine is my choose!  Who care if people do nice things?  Its all about the dollars! If they do free they are stupid.

He is nice because he knows the truth.

Honestly didn't think Norwegian banks would pull something like this. Feel somewhat disgusted. I think their bank is DNB, translated The Norwegian Bank.

After Mintpal and Justcoin going down, and BitShares having proved it self for half a year now, holding in bitAssets is slowly starting to feel safer than holding at crypto exchanges.

This is something we could communicate en masse to the crypto community with minimal expenses.

The world and its entrenched power structures are not always as nice as some of us would like to believe, it seems.  Let this be a lesson for all of us that can be brought to the level of the little microcosm we see here in these forums.  This movement will have enemies...

Does it have to be a multiplayer game has winners or winning team?

Do gamey and the Beyond Bitcoin guys get paid for their work?  If not people need to be careful someone doesnt try to buy them from your community.

Im a big holder of NXT and NHZ.  And I know they could use some guys like them.  Starting to invest in bitshares though. Much more open community than NXT. These sessions make it harder for shareholders to be scammed by letting the entire community's largest holders assess the viability of potential investments If they are not paid, they are all your guardian angels...cause most communities would pay a mint to have something like that!!

As a matter of fact, maybe you guys would like to check out NXT.  Pm me if interested!
