This is a very important tread. MineBitShares has been the most successful marketing and will still be our best card to attract new users that ACTUALLY USE OUR PLATFORM.

Also, with the delegates subsidizing the platform, the miners will soon realize that their bonus goes up as BTS price goes up. :)

What our efforts have taught us is that the amount of education needed for a new users to understand what we do makes it very expensive to convert traffic into users.

Stay tuned, I will be posting a tread about my commitment to BitSharesMining later today.

you should thank me for opening this thread

Thank you injecting your profound wisdom into these discussions at our forum uniqlo.  I'm sure that Dan is several lifetimes more enlightened now having read your pearls of wisdom.  In fact, I hereby propose that the BitShares community officially vote to change our name from BitShares to UniquloShares.  You should run for 100 delegates, you are certain to get awarded full pay due to the immense value that you provide our community and the world around us.

I also propose that Dan take a hiatus from any affiliation with the uniquloShares project to to go on sabbatical to enlighten his soul with the great teachings of uniqulo.

I also propose that we destroy any posts in this forum that are not originated by uniqulo.

here here!

All in favor say aye!

I do not have the knowledge to understand this whitepaper but thank you for doing the job of looking into what anti-POS objections are and proving them wrong.

Welcome to our community.

General Discussion / Community To Do List?
« on: March 25, 2015, 12:52:25 am »
Just had this idea...I have seen quite a few post with good ideas but they tend to disperse themselves
and end up simply be suggestions.

How about making a to do list for the community that anyone can simply pick and run with it?

Anyone has an app to suggest?

Ok, that settles that. Seems there's a lot of outdated info out there (wiki, old blog posts).. perhaps we should address that, it can be confusing to newcomers.

Thank you guys for the replies.

We are doing a Wiki Wesnesday tomorrow, wanna join us?

Right now the barrier to entry (in tech skills) are very high. So yes, in many aspect advertising is ineffective.

But with a mobile wallet for example we can start to do some very cool stuff. For example, Facebook advertising
for RSVP in meetups in Argentina is really working well. The people who show up are guided through step by step on how to
setup a wallet, fund it and trade.

fav-desu is doing really cool "giveaways" that bring in new users everytime he does one. I promoted the BitShares 101 ebook to everyone who has an interest in bitcoin on Facebook and I've hit the bell curve where now, it's not as effective anymore. (Email list of about 300 now)

After many different test, I decided to hold my funds for Meetups and Product launches (moonstone, limewallet, etc)
I suggest looking into http://faucet.bitshares.org/refscoreboard to see which affiliate are bringing in users if you are curious.

Press Releases should be done yet we do not have someone to write them now. (I'm french and PR needs perfect syntax/grammar)
Every Press Releases cost at least $300. But with that we can hit bloomsberg, techcrunch, etc.
