Hi forum, ok it has been decided! We will send out a daily newsletter each day and on Monday a recap of the most important articles from the previous week. I think this is great news and hope you won't think of us being too spammy. We will have implemented an option to opt-out for the daily newsletters by tomorrow so you can set that in your preferences. We came to the decision by a couple of subscriber requests and after all there's happening something every day so why not!

However this means that we could use some help at this stage, we're looking for volunteers who have a passion for crypto 2.0 and like to write about it or by tipping us with news we might have missed from the various sites around the web. Also it would be a great help if you could support this service by spreading the word and making our user base grow larger each day. 

I will offer 100 BTSX to each member who refers at least 10 other active subscribers. Please note that these should be forum members for now who have registered before the timestamp of this message.  Just let them pm me after they registered with your referral name.

Yeah the name squatters do their job, i think the auto-complete feature should be disabled and maybe an extra verification message should appear.

Just keep on doing what you do, publish as many (original) articles as you can. Of course you won't see results day to day after you publish something but in time you'll notice your visitor stream will keep in increasing steadily. Then once they on your site you have to try to 'catch' them with something like for example what Shentist said a mailing list. With that you have a 'client' and you can be creative on what to do with that.  [edit]You might want to consider running it from a dedicated domain as well if you get a little more popular. As long as you enjoy publishing it will be ok, if you're in it for the money alone I would recommend some other web activities.[/edit].

Well, then a simple captcha will suffice as well, maybe those new fancy ones (yeah they do get broken by paid services as well). Bound together with a seconds-before-next-post property should be ok for newcomers so they can post like ones an hour/day until they mature. So many ways to solve this but i think the timing between posts is the most important property on which to judge for newcomers.

Maybe some voting system would do, if someone receives x bad votes within y time he will be banned automatically for 24 hours orso, if he do it again ban for life. Kinda hard to have it monitored here around the clock, but well it's about time that it will indeed.

Thanks, the first news alerts will be sent Thursday and continue on a daily basis. We aim to send 1 update max on a daily unless there is some major news break on which you'd forgive us for spamming your account (hopefully)

Regular weekly mails are planned on Mondays, maybe a daily mail will be viable as well but let's just get everything running smoothly!
