Maybe this could be a bi-annual journal that costs $2 or 3? My guess is there would be at least a few hundred copies purchased...

General Discussion / Re: Roger Ver Bonus Hangout: (SILVERTICKET Entry Fee)

@fuzzy

How come this isn't being advertised on social media

btw I dont agree with the tickets thing only because this is a new chance to get new people attending the hangout and it limits their access. They can always do it, sure, for someone new who doesn't even have a wallet is too much work. We are wasting an opportunity to have new people outside from BitShares joining in. I understand trying to make this exclusive, but this should be done to every hangout except this one and others like this.

BitCoin Jesus? Meet the Peomise Land.

Will Stan or Dan attend this hangout?

Nice article but it has several spelling and grammatical errors. I am a MUSE investor, excited for the development, and I have friends who manage musicians and bands. But I still don't have any professional material to share with them. Please remember that professionalism is extremely important in order to be taken seriously by newcomers. I am looking forward to the day when I can confidently share MUSE with everyone I know.

I don't understand... is the new name supposed to replace "Peertracks" or is it a name for a different branch?

"...the support of ideas from over a thousand altcoins running experiments including Bitshares and Ethereum. The fact that we are having a transaction crisis is a symptom of success not coming doom!"

To me, it kind of sounds like Charles is foreshadowing the success of Bts & Eth..... and I would have to agree.  It is unrealistic to expect Btc to shoulder the task of revolutionizing the global financial world.  Especially as a first-generation blockchain technology.  Who still has a first-gen iPhone?  I don't.

Truth:

If someone is saying hey let's improve the core technology in Bitcoin, then everyone in the Bitshares community should be leaping at the opportunity to have a discussion about it. It means you get media exposure, new developer interest and perhaps more funding. Use common sense man!

Also, Charles, whatever your issues are with Bts & the community, I'm sure you/they/we can work them out.

Mumble does not always have good audio. It will need to be edited.

Who's the best interviewer? Stan?

Sounds like a good idea .. to approach him, we need something like an open letter that touches the right buttons and makes him curious to try it out .. I'll try to write a short draft for this next week ... unless someone else can do it faster ..

Brilliant idea!  There are probably 1,000 people to whom an open letter would be appropriate...

Psychologically, many people like getting letters, and many people are also are flattered if a community wants to welcome them with open arms.  This could be a generally useful outreach strategy...

Really awesome video!  Will there be a squeal to addresses the solution to the problem presented in this video?  ...Also I agree there should be a "powered by Bitshares" somewhere at the end.
Keep up the great work!

... Is any Bts representative collaborating with Mike Hearn? Bts seems like a good home for him... Some one should contact him.

General Discussion / Re: Poll on Bitshares referral program
« on: December 26, 2015, 08:30:59 pm »
Is there a "how-to" for the program?  How to use it, what to expect,, how to verify, etc.  As far as I knew there was still a bug that needed fixing.  I was, and still am, under the impression that a functioning referral program could snowball.  I haven't seen very much discussion about it, people's successes / failures, strategies, etc. etc.

Because... is there a better 24-month high-growth opportunity with a better cause or technology?

Sports-betting robots are giving the industry bad press right now.  There might be a niche for a system that is peer to peer, so that 95% of the winnings don't go to the 1% bots...
