LottoShares / Re: Neither Dice nor Lottery are producing results

Just like the original memorycoin, he just abandoned the project. Sad to say he is identified within Bitshares community.

General Discussion / Re: An open letter to Tonyk

I maybe late on this one but tonyk was the MAIN man why cob reconsidered his stand on allocations of shares in Bitshares Music which was the 10% for each AGS/PTS holders. He has a firm grasp of what he is putting on the table.

General Discussion / discouraging transactions
« on: September 21, 2014, 03:24:53 am »
Anyone can explain about Unknown transaction ?   I am losing money on BitshareX.  Yesterday , I shorted 50 BitsUSD (1550btsx) and then my blockchain cant sync . Now that particular transaction has UNKNOWN status. Same was the thing BitshareX  did with my poloniex transfer. Until now guys from the said exchange they have not received the transfer. That was 5000 BTSX right there , without recovery until now . Buggy software indeed makes you lose money . Now Bitshare X convinced me that never do transaction as of now till it is stable enough . For this buggy exchange I have lost a total of 6550 btsx but to be fair I have gained around 700 btsx shorting my first bitUSD. I dont know if I can ever recovery those loses because of UNKNOWN status of transactions.

Follow My Vote / Re: Current way to invest?

I wouldn't recommend buying BTSX on Poloniex unless they've fixed their issues.

Yup I lost 5000 btsx in poloniex deposit because of their constant and irritating negligence . Never deposit to POLONIEX .  (2 different deposit incidents occurred prior to this) /

General Discussion / POS on a momentum
« on: September 17, 2014, 04:09:11 am »
It has been 3rd week and going since POS-coins have dominated the crypto currency scene. BTSX spearheaded the trending phenomenon followed by Nxt and now both Peercoin and Xcurrency are having a field day. Hmmm is Ripple a POS ? Mining is definitely dead.

General Discussion / Ripple has overtaken Litecoin

When will btsx does this feat? Once investors have a clear path to different BitAssets available in X , it will be a helluva ride. :)

This few days were a battle of momentum  but BTSX sputtered as Nxt keep moving forward. But with regards to daily average transactions, Bitshare X still has enormous transaction activities with a near $1M . Once Bitshare X has its BitAssets get going it will be ... to infinity and beyond  8)

General Discussion / Re: Is Anyone Still Holding Bitcoin?
« on: September 11, 2014, 12:13:37 am »
Question for the BitShares faithful: Is anyone still holding Bitcoin or other cryptos? Why? And if so, what percentage of your crypto assets are you holding outside of BitShares?

I sold all my junk coins for AGS and PTS. Since BTSX has come out, I realize that I've done what was once unthinkable: sold out (almost entirely) of Bitcoin. I just have nickels and dimes remaining in my BTC wallets at this point. So I would say that 99% of my crypto 'portfolio' is now in BTSX, a little BitUSD, and other BitShares commitments. Am I wrong to believe in this so strongly? I don't think so. Every dime I keep in Bitcoin is one dime that won't double, triple, or tentuple nearly as fast as it should in BitShares. Yes, there are risks, but as long as you are in crypto, risks are par for the course. I'm not interested in balancing or diversifying anymore; this is not money I need to eat or pay the mortgage. The (very realistically possible) potential rewards here vastly exceed anything else.

I would say for your part its a nice move. Mine is I have been diversifying assets . I understand your situation  so you made the right move and lets hope that eventually BTSX rises to the bitcoin level (in terms of being popular) at around $15/btsx. :) Pardon me Im just optimistic as everyone in this forum .

Its not an application as far as Im concern. Bitshare X is the application . A bank and exchange to be specific . Quiz??? an application??? nah. Claiming to be the first application ??? Isn't bank and exchange are the first and running applications for Bitshare X.

IMO, the OP is afraid of success of DPOS , His whole investment in BTC is in the verge of collapse. That is the reason why he wants to break the DPOS mania. Some FUD ers , but I3 has been working and focus on security issues so $10,000 is worth a try but that is just a SMALL and CHEAP (concept) bounty compare to the rewards that is waiting for each DAC investor.

hughmanwho you have the rights to brag about Nxt , but the thing is you are NOT in the right place. FUDing majority of BTSX investor ?? WE HAVE OUR FAITH IN BITSHARES RIGHT FROM THE MOMENT WE MINED PTS.

I'm not sure the post was intended as FUD.

His cautions are with merit and his advice is sound.

In fact, posts like these are very valuable as they remind us to constantly reassess our investment strategies.

Complacency combined with hype is a bad mix.

Fortunately for me, I've reassessed and jumped right back on the train.

YMMV  :D

Quote from hughman who

"they are just interested and panic buying in case BTSX goes past Ripple or Litecoin.. except it won't because Ripple and Litecoin have both been around for years and have many, many people who have been interested in it for just as long"

I think this is FUDing in every literal sense.

Yes there are merits but timing has its malice . As evident to the fact that you have mentioned it wont surpass litecoin makes me wonder. Where is crystal ball that made you stated that ? As far as btsx, it has very much potential, and the state of panic is now in your nerve. If you are confident enough with your NXt investments, stick with its potentials. Do not make other assets somehow less superior.
